I certainly miss New York, Boston, Washington, Las Vegas, Miami, Chicago and Los Angeles.

Well, maybe not so much Chicago.

“If by “factual” you mean “farcical, misleading or false, and tinged with hysteria,” I agree”

I hadn’t noticed.

Bin Laden's goal, according to the book, is to kill at least 4 million Americans, 2 million of whom must be children.

I thought he was concerned about how Global Warming affects people?

"Al-Qaida has obtained at least 40 nuclear weapons from the former Soviet Union."

Soviet nukes had a rumored "shelf life" of 5-7 years until they needed to be rebuilt. The Rooskies are even sending out nuclear capable ships and aircraft without nukes today. These weapons are incredibly expensive to build and maintain. It's not cases of ammo that you can just store under reasonable conditions and it will all work perfectly 50 years from now.

The Soviet Union collapsed in 1991, 19 years ago. As appealing as the thought of a US future is without leaching by indigo-blue cities, I think this scenario is highly unlikely.

I think that we have probably asked Russia how many bombs they have lost. Add to that fact it is possible to tell where a bomb was made by sampling residuals after an explosion. What they said should be truthful. The Brits, French, Israelis should be OK. As for Pakistan, China, N Korea - I am willing to bet that we have no clue.

Nonsense story. If Al Qaeda had had nukes smuggled into the US back in 2005, they would have been detonated back in 2005.
