( North Carolina )--Some 6,400 staffers and students at Winston-Salem State University received e-mail exhortations Monday to take advantage of early voting and help the Democratic Party, setting off local Republicans.

After a complaint by Nathan Tabor, the chairman of the Forsyth County GOP, university officials acknowledged that the e-mail — sent from the student-affairs division — was improper.

The university cited a state law that prohibits the use of a state employee’s authority or state property to support or oppose a person or an issue in any election.

“We regret it,” said Nancy Young, the director of public relations at WSSU. “We sent out a retraction and said to disregard the earlier e-mail.”

That wasn’t the end of it, though.

Who will get fired for not supervising the student affairs dept. properly? Apologies are worthless without accountability.

You're a liar, Nancy; and a damn lousy one, at that.

Looks like they got out FOUR emails reminding people to go vote early to support the democrat party...

1. The original that encouraged people to go vote early to help democrats.

2. The retraction that apologized for asking people to go vote early to help democrats.

3. The “equal time” email that stated in an effort to balance our encouragement for people to go vote early to help democrats we also remind you that you can vote a republican as well.

4. The retraction of the “equal time” email that that was sent out because it was wrong to encourage people to go vote early to help out democrats....

M’er F’ers need to have their asses beat.

Maryland has just started early voting this year. The only place anywhere near the central part of Baltlimore County is on the campus of Towson University, which has virtually no parking for non-students/staff.

In a previous election, an almost unreadable proposition passed by referendum. It included a mandate for any college to be its own precinct if it was more than one half mile from its nearest precinct. The whole college vote (home/school/both?) is an outrage.

Just another reason every Conservative should stop all ALUMNI contributions to these leftist indoctrination camps. This should become a nationwide movement.

I am already tired of Democrat cheating. We are going to have to keep a sharp eye out this time.

...and not let them steal the elections with fraud.

Republicans should get the email addresses and send an email to all with their own message about how student loans can’t be repaid without jobs. or whatever message they want to send.
