Sarah Palin is wreaking havoc on the campaign trail, GOP sources say
Politico ^ | October 21, 2010 | Jonathan Martin

The election is two weeks away, but the campaign trail reviews of Sarah Palin already are in, and they aren’t pretty.

According to multiple Republican campaign sources, the former Alaska governor wreaks havoc on campaign logistics and planning. She offers little notice about her availability, refuses to do certain events, is obsessive about press coverage and sometimes backs out with as little lead time as she gave in the first place.

In short, her seat-of-the-pants operation can be a nightmare to deal with, which, in part, explains why Palin doesn’t often do individual events for GOP hopefuls.

I’ve been offline for the past two days and missed all of this. I’m glad that Mark, Sean, Glenn, and Grassley have all stepped forward and called Jonathan Martin the liar that he clearly is.

What was that piece we read a couple of weeks back about the GOP targeting Sarah for destruction this fall in order to get her out of the way for 2012? I know we discussed and several thought it was BS. However, this hit piece from unnamed sources reeks of a GOP strategy to try one last time to undermine Sarah and shut her up for good.

Romnney is actually, factually, behind this Johnathan Martin hit piece on Sarah Palin? Glenn Beck knows for certain that NONE of his people had any contact with anyone and all the references to him are LIES and ditto for Mark Levin, Grassley, Steve King, the man at SCLC and the lists goes on. ALL LIES.

Lakeshark, it *is* depressing and outrageous that Romeny bought your e-mail adresses!

I swear, I want NOTHING to do with Romney.

I donated to a bunch of candidates recently, he likely buys these from campaigns. *note to self: don't give out main email*

It has a humorous side though, the campaigns I donated to got to my inbox with their notifications for me, but Romneys' got dumped directly into my spam with all the "hot babes" looking for dates.......and breast enhancements........

:-)

Very fitting. Smart email addy.

Just prior to the 2008 election (would have been late October 2008) The American Spectator published a blurb that Mitt Romney funded the hit piece on McCain with the NYT and he did it via Jonathan Martin at Politico. From that day forward I stated paying attention and every Palin hit piece that comes from Politico is written by Jonathan Martin. Yes, Mike Allan and a few others write Palin pieces there, but all the really low down, nasty, stuff comes from Jonathan Martin.

LOL.

I was careful to donate to Sarah’s candidates, except for a couple of strays...lol.

Bielat (the guy running against Barney Frank) and a couple of others whom I knew weren’t endorsed by anyone in particular. I just liked them and FReepers had posted about them.

I never gave a thought to anyone like Mitt buying my e-mail address, but I gorget to check e-mail anyway. Yikes.

Last time I looked, I had over 900 in box, so I shut it.

Oh, good memory, yours!! I think I recall that hit-piece. McCain and a lobbyist romance that was a lie! I want nothing to do with sleazy Romney. I know he wants Sarah Palin out of “his” way.

Exactly! and he seems to be getting sloppy or thought you can just throw stuff out there and most people are going to believe it. We really need to work to keep him from advancing past New Hampshire, I know he will win NH.. IOWA will be a tossup Sarah or Huckabee....... after that it is SC and Florida we have to worry about.

We’ll see what we can do about stopping him in NH too.
Recall that NH often throws a dark horse into the mix so Romney might not have NH “in the bag.” He’s a fraud and he has romenycare to overcome. Good luck with that.
McCain took it in ‘08 and I knew he would.

These buttwipes just huff and puff and huff and puff and barely break wind. They are just so darn predictable.

Oh, and Jim DeMint just gave $100K to NH’s GOP and it’s from a conservative, so the intent is obvious. He backed the conservative guy with the long surname, (start with “L” first name Olive or something like, so Romney will be spending a lot of money in NH trying to buy votes, but the others will also be onb the ground making friends and talking about ‘conservative issues’ - namely repealing obamacare. What is Romney going to say about *that*?

Wah

Looks like we're going to have to drag the Republican establishment kicking and screaming. So be it.

I remember the piece your talking about VR. Al was particularly agitated by it. As the the day developed the NPR & Juan story engulfed this hit piece. As onyx mentioned at least 6 people can out and defended Sarah and her team. So at the end of the day it looks like we have a united front. By this time next month Mittens and his crew are going to get steamed rolled and there isn’t a dame thing they can do about it. Sarah has PR gold on the way. :)

I haven’t read the story was it mentioned SarahPAC gave the IA GOP $10,000.

I just want to get through November 2nd and then the REAL fun starts, thank God for DeMint, but he needs some people in the senate to help him, he has been a one-man band lately. BTW I heard on Fox tonight he is going to introduce a bill to defund NPR.
