The 1968 Playboy playmate of the year has been charged with attempted murder after Los Angeles police said she shot her husband of 20 years this weekend during a dispute, authorities said Wednesday.
Victoria Rathgeb, being held in lieu of $1.5-million bail, was arrested Saturday after police said they responded to a reported shooting at an apartment in the 7000 block of Hawthorn Avenue in Hollywood.
Her husband, identified as Bruce Rathgeb, is in grave condition.
"Her husband is in extremely critical condition with significant injuries,"
Binder said the shooting evolved from "a longstanding dispute between the two parties," although he noted that there had been no previous law enforcement contacts with either member of the couple.
Binder would not comment on news reports that Victoria Rathgeb originally told police that a drug dealer had shot her husband.

Looking it up, she did a number of movies and television spots under the names Victoria Vetri and Angela Dorian. One was in an old Star Trek episode. In this failed pilot for a new series, Terri Garr is looking at a cat and it momentarily turns into a beautiful woman. Also played a bejeweled "Florence of Arabia" to Victor Buono's "King Tut" in an episode of the "Batman" series.
A photo of her that was in Playboy magazine was pasted into astronaut Pete Conrad's Apollo 12 lunar-surface checklist by the Apollo backup crew. Conrad wore the checklist on his spacesuit cuff and first found the photo during his walk on the Moon. The caption read "Seen any interesting hills and valleys?".

She would have been not guilty back in the day.
That photo makes me yearn all hot and bothered for a time when we knew who are enemies were, our streets were safe and gasoline was 33 cents/gallon.
Nice car.
Not being a “old car guy”, I don’t know what it is, but was going to make the same joke.
However, it certainly has an “AMC” look to it, which would preclude its “nice car” status.
4th husband IIRC.
It looks like a Javelin......
AMX
It is a 1969 AMX. AMC’s Camaro attempt.
It’s an AMX. A 2-seater that came with an optional 390-4 barrel and a 4-speed transmission.
Always wanted one, but only got as close as a test drive :)
Could have predicted she’d come to a bad end... sitting on a (lucky) ‘68 AMX.
Cool... got the “AMC” part right.
But you really couldn’t miss with that rear end (of the car).
Are there any recent photos of her so we can thoughtfully and without bias declare her guilty or innocent?
Since everybody else is stuck in the ‘60s, you could have at least come up with a Dean Martin/Matt Helm grab of the first time that joke was [probably] used in film.
Past non-guilt is no proof of current innocence. Current photo required to be sure justice is served.
I wonder if her three previous husbands are also in “grave condition”.
