Some headlines are hailing her as the bravest woman in Mexico. Marisol Valles Garcia, all of 20 years old, says she's just tired of everyone being afraid. Valles Garcia, a criminology student, became the police chief this week of Praxedis G. Guerrero, one of the most violent municipalities in the border state of Chihuahua. She was the only person who accepted the top job in a police force whose officers have been abducted and even killed....

If she lives, she’s on the cartel payroll.
God be with her and God help her.
She’s either a brave girl, or a foolish one.
Time will tell.
What’s needed is swarms of rapidly deployed special forces teams with ARs, RPGs, mortars, and close air support to clean this mess up.
And no quarter for the drug lords.
Summary executions are permitted for non-uniformed combattants.

God help her if they decide to come for her. I hope she’s not banking on the Cartels blanching at the thought of killing a young female police chief or her unarmed female officers. They’re more likely to decide to try and crush the people’s hopes entirely by doing something like decapitating her.
She seems to be making it pretty clear she won’t be inconveniencing the cartels.

The Dems gave Calderon a Standing ovation.
Seems anti-enforcement when you take a job and declare that you won’t enforce drug laws - essentially what she did.
On the other hand, I can’t believe her bravery in taking the job at all... This town and Mexico is a very dangerous place - not fit for humans...
They will come for her.
At least she has taken a stand. No matter how foolish we may think this is, she’s the only true Patriot in that town.
Let us hope our citizens in this country do the same and stand up for doing what’s right, just, and patriotic when the time comes.

She has a vague resemblance to Sarah Palin, not a bad looking chick really.
That is sure a curious name for a city, “Praxedis G. Guerrero.” Is that actually the name of the Big Boss there?
