In order to get the AMA's support for Obamacare, our Prezdet promised the physicians that he would not cut Medicare reimbursements to doctors by the planned 20%.
Obama is keeping his word.
He is not cutting Medicare reimbursements to doctors by 20%
He is cutting them 30%!
Doctors are furious.
He is the "PC" email the AMA just sent to all members.
"On June 24, 2010, Congress passed a six-month Medicare patch providing a 2.2 percent positive update and a temporary reprieve for seniors and the physicians who care for them. In December, without action by Congress, the Medicare physician payment cut will be a whopping 23 percent, increasing to nearly 30 percent in January 2011.
With baby boomers beginning to enter into Medicare in just six months, the physician payment problem must be addressed or these new Medicare patients won’t be able to find a doctor to treat them. Congress must act to replace the broken physician payment system before the cost to fix it grows even larger. Call your members of Congress at (800) 833-6354 and demand they fix the problem once and for all."
Doctors are pizzed. There is even a talk of a strike!

He also said Obamacare would not increase the Budget Deficit by “ONE DIME!” He’s correct about that, too.
Many doctors only take a limited number of patients, let alone Medicare patients. And because there isn't any profit and many times a loss for them in treating these patients, it makes it very difficult if not impossible for doctors to be a able to afford to treat Medicare patients. And if there is an honest coding screw up when invoicing for Medicare reimbursement, the doctor gets punished and screwed again in the form of an audit/financial penalty. It's a lose lose situation.
Obama is clueless about the costs of doing business.
But then again, he's all for Death Panels and this is a good way of moving that concept along.

The AMA can only claim 18% of US physicians as members. Most of these are employed academic types. You know, the kinds that think like Zeke Emanuel and Donald Berwick.

Although not driving him out this election (unless he goes COMPLETELY off his rocker as the results come in and the guys in the white suits have to carry him off), hopefully he will be neutered.
