Thanks for the ping.
When I heard that clip of “Reid’s Pet” talking about “Settled Law,” I just went off. The clean version: “Dred Scott was ‘Settled Law,’ you moron!”
“...which indicates how poorly law students are being educated these days!”
They’re not being educated. they’re being indoctrinated.
I wish everyone were more informed about this. "Separation of Church and State" was first mentioned in some letter Th Jefferson wrote to a group of Danbury (CT) Baptists in 1803 I think. The idea that the First Amendment prohibited any sort of mention of religion by government is ludicrous on its face. EVERY one of the first 13 States either had an official religion or at least a religious qualification to hold office at the time of the adoption of the First Amendment and for years thereafter. The First Amendment prohibited the FEDERAL Government from selecting an official religion for the entire country.Religion in the Original 13 Colonies is a good source which traces the history of State religious requirements from their beginnings to elimination with cites to and quotes from supporting documentation.

“I read about it this morning”
I haven’t been able to find a transcript of the debate.
We need a transcritpt — and not just because of Coons parroting ‘separation of church and state’ fiction. O’Donnell nailed Coons with a question about what our rights are. He flunked! Major.
As for the students, they also believe the ‘separation of church nad state’ fiction. That’s why they laughed, as I understand it. But I wish I had a transcript.
Video: O’Donnell vs. Coons on the separation of church and state ...

“As the boss emeritus notes, alleged genius Coons couldnt remember all five freedoms protected by the First Amendment and ODonnell couldnt remember whats in the Fourteenth and Sixteenth Amendments. (That comes at around 3:30 of the clip.)”
