From the article "China Practices Intercepting U.S. Stealth Fighters" at
http://english.chosun.com/site/data/html_dir/2010/10/15/2010101500924.html:
The Chinese People's Liberation Army recently staged an intercept exercise targeting the U.S.' latest stealth fighter jet, the F-22 Raptor . . . The Science and Technology Daily, published in Beijing, wrote a story about the drill. "Right after the radar sent the information on the location of the stealth fighter to the missile launch team, the Hong Qi No. 9 missile flew into the clouds and an explosion was heard only 40 seconds later. There was loud applause for the success of the exercise," it said.

So the Chinese fired a rocket into the air and it went “Boom!”
I believe they had the ability to do the same thing 800 years ago.

The F-22 may be an advanced fighter on paper, but they are taking out hundreds of F-15’s and F-16’s and replacing them with dozens of F-22’s.
Currently, no nation has a 5th generation fighter like the F-22 and our updated F-15 and F-16 jets are more than a match for any other air force.

My favorite shot of the F-22, that's the space shuttle launching in the background.

Is that duct tape on the dorsal area above the right engine? If the women don't find you handsome, at least let them find you handy!

Hopefully, Congress and President Palin will reauthorize about 500 more of these beauties, ala, Reagan and the B-1.

So the Chinese fired a rocket into the air and it went Boom!
But, but, but, the report SAYS that they shot it at a simulated F-22! /sarc

Believe it or not, Duct Tape was invented for the sole purpose of a quick repair on air wings during WWII.

Up here in Alaska many a pilot that had a torn fabric wing would just grab a piece of wet canvas and slap it over the damaged area in the wintertime, stayed on like glue.

Every time I see an F-22 I see an aircraft that is just one step away from being able to take off from land and ascend into orbit on its own power, a space capable attack aircraft.

"True Story."Actually, it was developed to be a waterproof seal for ammo cases and the military later found it could be used in any number of applications, such as mechanical repairs to vehicles and other equipment.
