....The SEC described DioGuardi, who faces incumbent Democrat Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand in next month's election, as an "old crony" of the company's bosses and suggested "he's connected to the original fraudulent scheme."
As of last November, thousands of investors were owed $1 billion. The feds froze the company's assets; the case is pending.
MCH moved last year to have DioGuardi replace a court-appointed manager of its assets, which include the $3.2 million yacht Home Stretch and the $18.1 million movie rights to the recent flick "The Perfect Game."....
We get stuck with a lot of ‘least worst’ candidates. You can vote for them, hoping they are less bad, or not vote. And that is much of what the Tea Party phenomenon is about.
I don’t know, prior ponzi scheme experience might come in handy when it comes to Social Security. [/s]
Might also give him “street cred” for those Dems who arent’ too jazzed by Harry Reid’s hottie. This is NY, you know LOL
Just a reminder to the predominantly Muslim-led government[s] in this world that here is yet another example that the United States leads the way for the creation of a predominantly Muslim country in the very heart of Europe. This should be noted by both responsible leaders of Islamic governments, such as Indonesia, and also for jihadists of all color and hue. The United States' principles are universal, and in this instance, the United States stands foursquare for the creation of an overwhelmingly Muslim country in the very heart of Europe."?
If not for DioGuardi, McCain would not have been the 2008 Republican Presidential nominee, because until the 1999 NATO Bombing no one outside of Arizona knew who McCain was.
DioGuardi supported the Muslim church-burning KLA, and his last campaign was supported by the Albanian Mafia's "pizza connection".
And then this new corruption issue. What in the hell was the NY GOP thinking?
As much as I want the Republicans to take back the Senate, DioGuardi is part of the problem in DC, not the solution!
Bump
No, it is like Sarah said today - the GOP embraces the Tea Party or the GOP is through. GO SARAH!
What’s this? Obama’s Feds are making DioGuardi look bad, because they love their girl Kirsten Gillibrand?
This is nothing but guilt by association, and if Joe D. did anything wrong, he would be rich. He is NOT:
“With little money, virtually living out of his car and campaigning from his cell phone, DioGuardi won a narrow victory in the Republican primary over two GOP establishment types.”

“Kirsten Gillibrand on Abortion (NY U.S. Senate race)
ontheissues ^ | Sep 19, 2010 (last updated) | staff
Financially supported by Emily’s List snip
Voted NO on restricting UN funding for population control policies.
Congressional Summary:To require that amounts appropriated for the United Nations Population Fund are not used by organizations which support coercive abortion or involuntary sterilization.
Proponent’s argument to vote Yes:
Sen. WICKER (R-MS): This amendment with one issue and one issue only—whether US taxpayer dollars will be provided to help fund coercive population control policies, such as China’s one-child policy—a policy that relies on coerced abortion and forced sterilization. snip As it has always done, Kemp-Kasten allows the President to certify that funds are not used for coercive family practices. My amendment is needed because the underlying bill reverses this longstanding provision.
Sen. COBURN (R-OK): I stand in the corner of pro-life. But I want to debate this issue as if I were pro-choice. If we believe that women have a right to choose, why in the world would we send money to UNFP that is going to take that right away from women in other countries? You can’t be on both sides of this issue. Either you believe in a woman’s right to choose or you do not. Or you only believe in a woman’s right to choose in America, and because the Chinese have too many people, you don’t think that same human right ought to be given to women in China. There is no question that UNFP will mix this money, and we will fund forced abortions in China.
[Without this amendment] American taxpayer dollars are going to go to China to enforce coercive abortion against the will of women and force sterilization against the will of women in China.”’

“In a year when character just might matter more than it usually does to voters, Gillibrand suffers from the fact that, as the University of Virginia’s Larry Sabato put it, an analysis of her performance in office does not turn up any evidence of her having much in the way of principles.
This is a woman who could give John Kerry lessons in flip-flopping. Consider Gillibrand’s string of major flip-flops:
Against gay marriage as a member of the House — For gay marriage since the day her appointment to the Senate was announced.
For keeping “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” in place while in House — Against as senator.
Against gun control while in the House (100% NRA rating) — For gun control as a senator.
Against any form of amnesty for illegal immigrants as a member of the House — For as a senator.
For withholding federal funds from sanctuary cities while in House — Against as senator.
For making English the official language while in the House — Against as senator.
For empowering local police to enforce federal immigration laws while in House — Against as senator.
Against the McCain- and Obama-endorsed Bush $700-billion TARP bank bailout in a vote in the House, calling it “fundamentally flawed” — For the Obama $787-billion “stimulus” bill four months later as a senator.
You get my drift.”

Gillibrand is a phony, and so are Obama’s Feds.!
“but what about DioGuardi? Well, I know Joe DioGuardi. Joe DioGuardi is a friend of mine (served with him in Congress). And Joe DioGuardi not only is no Kristen Gillibrand, but he’s her complete opposite — a conservative who understands what’s gone wrong and who will stand up and vote right to fix things.
Check out his book, Unaccountable Congress: It Doesn’t Add Up (Regnery, 1992), and visit the website Truth In Government, the nonprofit organization he founded twenty years ago.
Joe DioGuardi can win, possibly being the upset that tips the U.S. Senate into Republican hands — if conservatives and Republicans across the country pitch in and make sure he has the resources necessary to communicate to New Yorkers the clear and compelling difference in both content and character between him and that “hot” senator with the not-so-hot record.
Fred J. Eckert is a former conservative Republican congressman from New York and twice served as a U.S. Ambassador (to the U.N. and to Fiji) under President Reagan, who called him “a good friend and valuable advisor.”’

They don't have to. He's doing well on his own.
This is nothing but guilt by association, and if Joe D. did anything wrong, he would be rich. He is NOT:
Nice story, but look at YouTube for all the trips that he's taken to Albania and Kosovo with members of Congress over the last 20 years, that's BS.
With little money, virtually living out of his car and campaigning from his cell phone, DioGuardi won a narrow victory in the Republican primary over two GOP establishment types.
Oh wow, that's so similar to the story that was being told by his KLA about the "poor Kosovo Albanians" until the story of the Brooklyn Connection was done, where these same "poor Albanians" (read "Albanian Mafia") were using US gun laws against us to buy huge caches of weapons to start a war in Kosovo so they would have a corridor for their sex slaves and drugs into Europe! But hey, he's "pro-life" -- as long as that "life" is in the womb and not able to think.
With little money, virtually living out of his car and campaigning from his cell phone, DioGuardi won a narrow victory in the Republican primary over two GOP establishment types.
He IS "the establishment" -- or at least the establishment that was 20 years ago -- still fighting a Cold War that has been dead for 20 years -- with his own personal Kosovo mujaheddin, burning churches in the name of "America". Yeah, post-9/11, we really need THAT in Congress!/s
NY SO needs a Tea Party if you think that Joe DioGuardi is a viable candidate for "US Senator from NY".
It’s clear you have an ax to grind over the Kosova issue. You are not reporting facts, only hurling accusations.
Joe DioGuardi was mentioned by Slobodan Milosevich at his trial as being responsible for his execution. I call that a hero, not a villain.
Joe ensured that overlooked African Americans who had been nominated for the Medal of Honor actually received them.
Joe DioGuardi initiated the CFO Act to get some semblance of accountability in Congress.
The left has been engaged in a major smear campaign and you are either part of it or feeding it.
I have no sympathy for Gillbrand, but I wouldn't spit on the better part of Joe DioGuardi either. I thought NY Republicans had better sense than this -- obviously I was wrong.
Back in the 1990's it was 2 to 1 contributions in favor of Democrats, which is why Clinton & Co caved to Dio Guardi's wishes and bombed Yugo in favor of the church-burning Albanians.Albanians, especially the Albanian Mafia wanted their sex-slaving & drug routes secure.
You are wrong again and distorting the reputation of a decent man.
Joe DioGuardi started the American Albanian Civic League and has nothing to do with the American Albanian PAC.
Don't be ridiculous. Dio Guardi, himself, admitted it:
"The Albanian American Civic League also has a PAC, and we have already given the maximum we can give to McCain," DioGuardi affirmed......."We support any politician, Republican or Democrat, who understands the problems of the Balkans the way we do," DioGuardi said.
You expect anyone to believe that a bunch of "roofers" and "pizza parlor owners" know to seed both sides of the aisle to buy a foreign policy intervention -- as opposed to DioGuardi, the only Albanian American in Congress and head of the AACL?
Did you notice how Lantos was falling all over himself, kissing DioGuardi's butt in that video -- even after DioGuardi was out of office, and when Helen Delich Bentley called him on his tactics, there was applause? I guess that it's supposed to just be "a coincidence" that the Albanian American PAC also gave Lantos $10K for his campaign in 1998? They also financed Lieberman, Biden and anyone else who would "see the Balkans the way we (DioGuardi & Co) do" back in the 1990's.
This isn't' "a conspiracy against a good man". This is Joe DioGuardi's past catching up to him.
