Ayatollah Tells Iraqi Leader: Get Rid Of America

Iran has demonstrated its hold over Iraqi politics, telling Nouri al-Maliki, the prime minister, to "get rid of America" as he sought Tehran's blessing Monday for a second term.
Mr Maliki, on a tour of Middle East capitals to win support for his attempt to stay in power in Iraq, had an audience with Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran's Supreme Leader.

I don’t think Maliki is going to listen to the clown from Iran. In fact Iraqi are hoping for arms sales to take place between them and the US. Including selling and training their pilots in F16 to help defend them from Iran in the future.

I wonder if once we leave Iran will attempt to take over Iraq?This was the one misgiving I had about getting rid of Sadam. As evil as he was, he was a buffer against Iran, and getting rid of him, pretty much guaranteed that either the US would have to stay in Iraq for a long time, or else it was become a satellite of Iran.
