The time has come. We must ban and censor "Gone With The Wind" and every other movie about war.
Despite entertaining countless people, these productions must cease in the name of political correctness. For that, we extend our thanks to Congressman Eric Cantor.
A Republican.
No, thats not a misprint. Cantor is one of the GOPs national leaders, poised to become majority leader should the Republicans win back the House.
Theres a far more appropriate term for Cantor: garden-variety political hack. And thats being kind.
Cantor has helped create a sensationalistic story where there shouldnt be one. In doing so, he has shown his true colors as a politician seeking power for the sake of power, with no regard for principles or people.
At issue is Ohio GOP congressional candidate Rich Iott, who had a hobby of re-enacting historical events. As part of a tremendously popular activity, Iott has participated in re-enactments of the Civil War, World War I, and World War II.
In accurately portraying the World War II, he donned the garb of a Nazi soldier. And therein lies the firestorm.
Iott dressed as a German, so therefore must believe in the Nazi ideology. So goes the insane logic of Cantor.

Cantor is a guy I could do without. He seems to be all about Cantor and squishes out a little too often.
Going RINO fast.
The guy dressed as a Nazi...forgive me if I cant feel too sorry for him....Cantor is a putz..
I think letting democrats pull our puppet strings leads to more strings being pulled. Turns out that one of the other guys in the photo is a local township official from here in Michigan.
Personally, I think it would be idiotic to allow democrats to teach us about history.
One thing about Republicans, they sure do like to take potshots at one another. You never see the commie ‘RATS doing that. We could take back the Senate in November if we didn’t have so many “conservatives” and “Republicans” out there taking potshots at OUR candidates.

Gingrich Joins Cantors Effort To Remake GOP
Err, don't dress up in a Waffen SS uniform as an adult if you intend to run for public office?
Seriously, you just can't do it. That is all.
It appears Cantor is “our Russ Feingold” but in the House
RINO’s have more hostility to conservatives than to Democrats.
So using Eric Cantor’s logic, when I dressed up as Darth Vader at age 12 for Halloween, it meant I swore allegiance to the Empire? I thought it would just get me more candy ‘cause I looked cool.
My understanding is that the press had photos of him in a number of different uniforms from several different wars, and decided to print only this one.
The DNC press is always going to do whatever they can to make a Repub look bad, and they will use whatever is at hand and if there isn’t anything they’ll invent something.
The surprise isn’t that the DNC press dishonestly used only the one picture, the sad surprise is that fellow Repubs would fall for it. Again. Trust me, when and if Cantor becomes a threat to the DNC they will do the same thing to him; they’ll find something or invent something and we’ll all have to stand with him despite whatever mud they are throwing at him. He should have the guts to do the same for others who are at the center of the mudstorm. His turn is coming; we are all targets sooner or later.
Personally I think Iott should be praised for teaching history. After all the liberals running the schools can’t be counted on to do it.
I’ve been to the local civil war muster and oddly enough they actually had men portraying soldiers from both sides.
Cowards who have a problem with this should throw themselves at the feet of Nancy Pelosi and beg her forgiveness.
In that same conversation Cantor also denounced a Republican candidate who was ACCUSED of sexual harassment, but had not been tried and found guilty (or admitted guilt).
Just like always, Democrats fight like junkyard dogs while Republican politicians wet the carpet like scared puppies.
Republican vs. Democrat is boy scouts vs. a motorcycle gang
If Tom Cruise and George Clooney had dressed up as Nazi’s in movies, does that make them Nazi’s? Think, people, think!
Cantor could have said to the Democrat who was on the show with him: “Charley Rangel and Maxine Waters will soon be on trial for ethics violations — do you denounce them? Or is everyone innocent until proven guilty?”
Exactly.
Lest we forget.
How many thousands of people have donned a Nazi like uniform since the end of WWll to make a movie or for a reenACTment? How could this be a bad thing? A controversy/discussion about this has to be a new low in political theater, worse than a semen stained dress worn by Monica.
Already there, based upon my correspondence with him. He's my congressman, unfortunately. Sure wish I had someone else to vote for.
I remember when Cantor was floated as a potential running mate for McCain.
