Dean: Tea Partiers a Lot Like My Supporters Says Activists Share Distrust of Beltway Power and Corporate Funding of Campaigns With Liberals Who Backed His 2004 Run
By David S Morgan
(CBS) Howard Dean today said that there are similarities between Tea Party activists and the liberal activists who supported his 2004 run for the White House.
He also said that Republicans face trouble from Tea Partiers, especially those on the far right, suggesting that their agenda could doom the GOP's chances of attaining or keeping power.
Appearing on "Face the Nation" this morning, the former Chairman of the Democratic National Committee also denied that he'd said the Republicans had created a "monster" by supporting right-wing extremists, but did say that the GOP is "on a mission" that is outside of mainstream America.
"They are going to have trouble with it," Dean told host Bob Schieffer, in discussing the Republicans' relationship with Tea Party-aligned supporters. "I think the Republicans are too far right for the country."
He described a forum in Sacramento last week where he shared the stage with "two very conservative people, both of whom are talking about running for president or believed to be going to run for president" [whom he later named as Sarah Palin and Rick Santorum].

YEEaaarrrrrrrrggghh!!!
Yeah - just like his supporters, if his supporters had brains!
But his alarm company is making money hand over fist:
Dr. Dean in FULL CRY!

Actually I agree with him.
Both groups were frustrated with the results they were getting from their parties. Both were/are grass roots organizations willing to give substantial amounts of their personal funds to promote change.
Funniest line of the year when you consider that the DemocRATS have been taken over by communists, Marxists and Islamofascists who are out to destroy America. The Dems have gone clean off of the Right/Left scale.
I don’t think I’ve ever been more insulted!
You’re right, Howie. But we don’t like you, either.
More proof that Dean is living in the Twilight Zone of Insanity.
I almost felt like taking a shower after he said that.
He mistook Tea Partiers w/Teabaggers. Loved how he said we didn’t like Free Speech and were angry at Corps being able to contribute like unions. What a marroon.
Pray for America
From the idiot that will say anything... and he just did... again...LOL.
We Tea Partiers have been compared to all 3 dean supporters. What an honor.
Note that, in this case, he is using the term “Tea Partiers” as opposed to his usual “Tea Baggers”.
There’s never been any doubt this man is insane.
