Vancouver, Washington: A day after a poll commissioned by a Washington, D.C., newspaper concluded the 3rd Congressional District race is a dead heat, KING-TV in Seattle released its own poll indicating that Republican candidate Jaime Herrera maintains a hefty 11-point lead over Denny Heck, her Democratic opponent.
The new poll, the latest of three conducted for KING-TV by the polling company SurveyUSA, concludes that Herrera is poised for (a) take-away in the hotly contested race to succeed Democratic U.S. Rep. Brian Baird.
Think Patty Murray is a bit nervous tonight??
Washington and Oregon *ping*
Another good looking smart Republican Conservative woman. Question? Would this seat be a Republican pick-up?
Think Patty Murray is a bit nervous tonight??
I sure hope so. :)
“Think Patty Murray is a bit nervous tonight??”
I think you are right!;)

A lovely lass as well...
Yes, it would be a pick up. It was held by Democrat Brian Baird who is retiring after this term.
WA ping.
could this be true?.....please.....make this be true....
Very good news!
Good news in Washington state.
Yes! this is definitely a Republican, and more importantly, a Conservative pickup.
An 11 point lead is a big deal here in the 3rd. We are looking at redistricting here as well, which will probably further isolate the liberals in Olympia from much more Conservative Clark County.
This is very good news!
This is my district, and I am eagerly waiting for the ballots to arrive in mail. Herrera & Rossi will get our votes. We are also voting against start of state income tax which will start out for high income earners only but will easily descend to middle class since there is no constitutional restriction to do so.
This can't be! Why, just today the Daily Olympian endorsed Denny Heck over Jaime!
Get those people back in here! Turn those machines back on!
This is my district. Brian Baird referred to Tea Party folks as “brown shirts.”
Herrera’s opponent, Denny Heck, does not put his party affiliation on his campaign signs. They are trying to portray Herrera as an extremist because she does not support “a woman’s right to choose.”
Received my ballot in the mail today. Herrera has my vote.
This is encouraging. Have they debated?
Yes, the debate took place today or yesterday.
I missed it though.
Woohoo - good news. Jamie had signs all up and down I-5 when I drove to Portland with my wife recently.
Go Jamie!
“Denny Heck, does not put his party affiliation on his campaign signs.”
Yeah, what a joke. His stinkin’ signs say “Give Congress Heck” as he ‘taps into’ the Tea Party sentiment while believing exactly the opposite. What was that about lyin’ RATS?
“They are trying to portray Herrera as an extremist because she does not support a womans right to choose.
Good to know that baby killers and those that support baby killing with public funds are moderate and not extreme in the least.
