One of the famous definitions of insanity is repeating the same mistake over and over again while expecting a different result. Whether thats a perfect definition is open to debate, but one thing is certain: its as accurate a description of the California electorate at this moment in 2010 as you could get.
How else to explain that Jerry Brown and Barbara Boxer are still leading Meg Whitman and Carly Fiorina by 5.4% and 3.3% (RCP averages) in a state where unemployment is 12.4% (not including the underemployed and the astronomical number that have already given up), and from which businesses are fleeing like rats from the proverbial sinking ship? Even the storefronts on swanky Rodeo Drive are standing empty.

And as a Californian, I can tell you they brought their liberal politics with them when they migrated here from New York and other points in the East. Barbara Boxer's from Brooklyn, Pelosi's from Baltimore, Pete Stark's a Milwaukee native, etc., etc. If we had only our home-grown wingnuts this would still be a Republican state.
Si
The problem is Californians in L.A. and San Francisco. Many other Californians are still conservative (our own beloved JimRob, and millions of others who don’t live near the Coast), but the huge number of liberals in those two cities outnumber the intelligent people.
PEARCE: Jerry Brown, oil baron(CARB imposed monopoly?)

“The problem in California is Californians”
I am a Californian and DAMN PROUD OF IT!
The problem in California is the liberal
moronic transplants who came from (fill in
the name of YOUR state) and decided to take
control. You should appreciate that your gain
is our loss. Show a little sympathy for those
of us in the rural parts of the state who have
had to endure.
The answer depends on whether you think Romans 1:21 is talking about insanity.
Good post, but spittin’ in the wind as these jerks from around the country all would rather pee on Californian’s than admit the truth that California has been inundated by Liberals from their own backyard.
When I was a kid in the ‘50’s it was commonly stated on New Years Day while watching the Rose Parade that it shouldn’t be aired across the country as our weather invites all those people from the cold North Eastern States to pack up and move here. They did, and everything went to Hell.
AMEN, BROTHER!!!! (sister?)
Waters, Pelosi, Waxman, Boxer, Feinstein, and a slew of other crazy, crooked liberals...
I would say crazy isn’t sufficient to describe California voters. And stupid doesn’t seem to cover it completely. I think ignorant, stuck on stupid, crazy people might come close to describing them. But then, there are the self-serving ones, too.
So there are the near-sighted union and civil service workers, the voting illegal immigrants, the welfare recipients, the green (death to humans) party, the leftist (down with America) revolutionaries. It’s America’s nuthouse, our asylum, our place of remedial learning, our place of truly selfish, self-absorbed, self-centered beings.
We have the highest state tax in the country and they use the money to grow government employee jobs, unions and benefits all over the place.
The politics is class warfare and the people here for the most part have their hand in the pie; it’s other people’s money, but they want that money in their pockets.
Therefore many vote Democrat.
Meanwhile the mega wealthy, employers and many companies just leave the state.

This was a very nice state until all of the garbage from other states started to eat us alive.
California is a beautiful state, and there are some wonderful people there. Not enough, unfortunately.
San Francisco and the coast above and everything below the Grapevine are liberal. The rest of us produce.
If Californians elect “moonbeam” there will be hell to pay.
I’m not a limousine liberal, nor am I on the dole. I’m a conservative and I live in California.
You left out another hotbed of liberalism: Sacramento.
So YOUR the one ;)
LOL - yep, that’s me.
