Alledgedly should not be in play at this point and should never be in play. When you kill/wound the shooter WHILE HE IS SHOOTING PEOPLE, you have already proved your case. It’s not like this occurred in a back alley.

That was from an article published immediately after the incident (Nov 6, 2009). I suspect the "Allegedly" referred to the number of people shot by him. Perhaps it hadn't been 100% confirmed at that point that he did all the shooting.
