Who do you support for U.S. Senate in Illinois in 2010? - Topix

(Excerpt) Read more at topix.com ...

TOPICS: News/Current Events; Politics/Elections; US: Illinois
KEYWORDS: kirk; labno
Please freep this poll for Mike Labno. He is the only Pro-Life, Pro-Gun, Fiscal Conservative in the race. He is an everyman Tea Party candidate who grew up in Cicero Chicago. He worked his way through school and achieved a degree in Mechanical engineering while volunteering as a security escort for battered women making sure they made it to trial un-accosted. He is a member for the Chicago Guardian Angles and a Senior Electrical Construction Foreman as day while he campaigns at night. Mike Labno deserves our-support.

Mark Kirk and the Democrat are 100% pro abortion,100% supportive of thought crime laws/gay activism, 100% anti-gun (actually the Democrat is a little bit less anti-gun), both have said they would vote to confirm Obama justices to the Supreme Court, Kirk voted for TARP, Obama's second stimulus, and Cap & Trade.

The poll doesn’t include all candidates. The race has four write-in candidates, but the poll only includes one, Boyd. If they include him, they should include the other three. I voted for Labno, in the poll.

Are you mentally challenged or are you a liberal Republican? Why do we want to elect an albatross who will screw us? I swear conservatives are some of the dumbest chumps in the world. No matter how many times they prove they can win against the odds they retreat back into the position of submission. All the polling shows there is room to win this. At least a few “real” conservatives can vote for Mike in this stupid poll. I know most of you don’t do crap for the cause but be good little R-bots. Far too many of you would faint with delight if GW Bush could be re-elected.

I’m tired of of the weenie brigade. If you vote for Mark Kirk then you have no right to call yourself a conservative.
You are an unprincipled part of the problem. How many times do we have to be force fed crap candidates that won’t even debate our candidates? Who the GOP establishment runs whispering campaigns about while they run cover for liberal Republicans calling them ‘Moderates’ when they are the furtherest thing from it.

If you want to be a defender of the status quo why don’t you vote for Charlie Crist.

You are an unprincipled part of the problem.

Only naive children think voting has anything to do with principles. Voting is about bringing about outcomes. And voting for anybody but Kirk will give the seat to the 'Rat.

Mark Kirk IS a rat....so in your scenario, it’s one rat or the other rat. We really do deserve better.

Labno. Kirk is a liar, Alexi wants to forward the “Agenda”.

I have to live with my vote, even if it does not bring about “change”.

Rep. Kirk (my congressman) also supports a liberal agenda.

According to www.vote-smart.org, these are some of Rep. Kirk’s latest interest group ratings: Planned Parenthood, 100%; AFL-CIO, 48%: ACLU, 45%; NAACP, 44%; NEA, B; Americans for Democratic Action, 35%; Gun Owners of America, F-; ACU, 58%.; and John Birch Society, 33%.

Without the principles what is the outcome? We get a far left Republican who makes the worst of the crop already in the Senate look good. You people are ignorant. No matter how many times to fall for this establishment crap you get pasted in the end and you go back for more. There is a reason Brady is running so much better than Kirk. He is a conservative. It is people like you who have ruined this country. It is people who think like you who have led the slow slide into socialism and liberalism and allowed it to be called “moderate”. Did we not learn anything from electing Schwarzenegger in CA? If a Democrat had been in charge can anyone doubt that CA would’ve been in a much better place than it is today for conservative wins?

Go ahead. Vote for the CapnTader Kirk and when he is the deciding vote on putting liberal justices in the courts don’t whine to me about it. He won’t be my albatross but the GOP will have him hung rightfully around their neck.

So what if a mob banker gets elected. If that happens it will be because conservatives didn’t vote for the most conservative candidate even though internal polling shows the demographics are there but no will from a Tea Party content to hide under the skirts of the establishment.

Thankfully loyalists like you didn’t stop the Revolution.
Win or lose supporting good candidates who may not be rich but are right on most of the issues should be the goal because it isn’t going to be until the establishment has its candidates rejected enough times till they start to respect our candidates or at least find individuals that share our common principles.

People who vote for Mark Kirk are no better than traitors and should not call themselves conservatives. I hope they remember their vote every time they wax poetic on the life of the unborn, or face conviction or loss of jobs for thought crimes, or find energy prices going through the roof and big govt growing along like nothing changed, and a new liberal supreme court justice confirmed with the help of Liberal Republicans in the Senate.

you make good points.

However Labno is not strong enough to win. FReepers, as strong as we are, do not have enough votes to put him in. At this stage of the election all it will do is clear the way for Giannoulias by taking votes from kirk.

Look, I don’t like kirk at all. I just realize the time to have supported Labno was in the primary. There is more at stake than how conservative the next Senator is. This seat might very well determine which Party chairs the Senate committees. Getting the GOP into the Majority will not be an answer to all our Prayers, but it would be a hell of an improvement over the dumbocraps there now.
