The Machine Gun Shoot Competition happened at the Knob Creek Gun Range in Kentucky this weekend in which hundreds of machine gun dealers, owners and enthusiasts showed up to fire four rounds at random appliances and vehicles.
The Knob Creek Gun Range websites describes this event with similar giddiness and rhetoric of a 13-year-old at a Return of the King premiere, stating:
..The charges are set off by the impact of the bullets. Creating large and small mushroom clouds and fire balls from hell!
Its true. Astute men, women and judging from the FAQ sheet on their website inquiring what kind of gun to buy a child, even children, gather to shoot at and explode various objects to: Prove a point of freedom? To ascertain the rednecks dominance over inconspicuous home appliances? To scare away Tom Robinson?
Whatever the reason, it didnt seem that the Machine Gun Competition was enough to settle the burdening desire, rather, God given right, no, necessity, to shoot at and blow stuff up. So naturally there was also an Assault Rifle Competition, Old Military Bolt Rifle Competition, K.C.R Shotgun Competition, K.C.R Practical Pistol Competition and the regular old Military Gun Show.
To further christen the event, Rand Paul showed up and called out Obama for trying to take away gun owners divine rights:
The president says that youre out here in the middle of the country clinging to your guns and ammunition. What I tell the President is, Were clinging to our guns, our religions and our ammunition.
Of course you are, what with these damn liberals running around demanding civil rights, equal opportunity and same sex marriage we need some level-headed people with the machine capability to mow down anyone that stands in their way of having rights.

uh - I tool a little license with that...
Cool! Isn’t that a whole lot better than kids teaching eachother behind the gas station? :)
"A"?
I agree. It is completely irresponsible to own "A Gun".
One must own several.
Many thanks but voting for Nader...Barf.
LOL, caught it, Shuffledbean - Shuffledbeem, not enough difference to make me change my opinion ;^)
Probably cost more than a motor home to maintain....
>she is already a pink freak.
That could be taken the wrong way, you know...
Yeah. I see that now. I should have said “pink accessories”.
LOL good one.
I'll bet there is a lot of paperwork. Had to do a search for a pic and it had a related link to the Vulcan 20mm. That is a weapon. It stated the Vulcan had been in service since 1959. That is a long time, but awsome. Isn't that what is on board the AC-130H? Gives me chills.
>>After all, George Washington and the other forefathers of America did not sit down to tea with the English. They shot them.

Hmm, I’ll say that I’ve seen a lot of people saying Civil War II [or Revolutionary War II, depending on the person] *IS* going to happen, I’ve also seen lots saying that it *WON’T* happen. Firearm confiscation is, I believe, one of the ‘sparks’ that could trigger it; however, a *LOT* of people support the idea of barring felons from voting or obtaining/possessing a firearm... so then, it stands to reason that an ‘indirect’ method of firearm confiscation may be effected by making large groups of people felons....
Enter Obamacare, in 2014 it becomes a felony to not have health insurance.... I believe there are no exceptions for unemployment or [other] lapses in coverage. Consider the state of the economy & unemployment, closely tied together but not the same; the economy is getting hit repeatedly by the ever increasing government regulation directly on it and also indirectly on it via the companies, the increase in taxes will hit here quite hard (esp if a transaction tax or VAT tax is passed); unemployment is horrible because of the multitude of regulations that employers must follow (esp any that manufactures/produces a physical product) and the multiple burdens of taxation they must pay. 2014 is, I believe, far too soon for any real change in our government’s direction; just consider how many Bureaucrats, Law Enforcement, and Judges are *NOT* elected. {Also, I do not believe this to be the only “mass felony timebomb” that has been planted.}
Given the [quite possible] government-backed extortion of the American people the question MUST be asked: is defending oneself from [such] extortion with deadly violence a crime? [Murder? Sedition? Treason? “Disturbing the Peace?”]
These are Interesting Times.
Is that a Ruger Blackhawk I see?
