During the course of questioning about the Obama administration's attacks on the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, ABC News White House Correspondent Jake Tapper brought up the issue of Barack Obama refusing to release his long form Hawaii birth certificate in an interview today with senior White House adviser David Axelrod.
Axelrod said that Obama's birth certificate "has been available to people."
When Tapper followed up by asking if the long form version (aka the original with more information than the shorter publicly released version) has been released, Axelrod ducked the question with this bizarre rejoinder, “the only people who want to keep things secret are folks who have something to hide.”
Before people get too excited, Tapper later Tweeted his disdain for birthers:

However, Tapper had no problem raising the issue with Axelrod:
TAPPER: But what do you say to people who argue you are demonizing an organization for a charge that nobody knows if it's true or not?
AXELROD: Well I’m not demonizing the Chamber of Commerce. I’m simply suggesting to them that they disclose the source of the $75 million that they are spending in campaigns and put to rest, put to rest the questions that have been, that have been raised.
TAPPER: Isn't that like the whackjobs that tell the president he needs to show them his full long-form birth certificate so he can put to rest the questions that have been raised?
AXELROD: The president’s birth certificate has been available to people.
TAPPER: The long form?
AXELROD: Someone once in the course of this debate about whether we should have a law to force these organizations to disclose where they’re money is coming from in the campaigns, someone said, and I think they’re right – “the only people who want to keep things secret are folks who have something to hide.” If the Chamber doesn’t have anything to hide about these contributions, and I take them at their word that they don’t, then why not disclose? Why not let people see where their money is coming from?
Outside of the likes of Les Kinsolving, this appears to be the first time the long form birth certificate issue has been publicly queried at the senior White House level.

Somebody planted that question with Tapper (Clintons?).

I still havent forgotten how ugly and rude tapper was when he walked out of a press conference with les kinsolving asking a birther question. I'm guessing it probably shows that Barry Hussein Sr. and Stanley Anne were never really married, or indicates through an address or something that they were long since separated by the time she gave birth to junior.
I honestly do think that Stanley Anne was the type who turned wild in her first semester of college, got herself knocked up by an already-married foreign exchange student, and never saw him again after that night, and especially not after he went home to take three other wives in Kenya. Being a good little liberal, Stanley Anne probably wanted to abort the baby but those were pre-Roe days so she became a single mother, and the long form proves it. But that would be an unwelcome admission for somebody who has built up his ENTIRE political career around the African racial identity of his father.

OK..so let’s see what we have. Out of nowhere in the last 30-90 days, there’s been a mass exodus of Obama cronies form Washington: Orzag, Romer, Summers, Emmanuel & Axelrod; Hillary Clinton turns on her Master, calling Obama’s skyrocketing debt a “National Security Threat”; looming elections in 3 weeks, by almost any stretch, show a colossal defat for Democrats no matter what level of government is examined; and NOW..ABC News turns into a Birther Network.
Question: how is it even possible, in the face of all of this, for Obama to stay where he is? He has to resign, lest his whole catalog of deceptions start seeing the light of day under guys like Issa. He can’t possibly stay on...right?

I heard that too. LOVED the whispering disclaimer he did before he said it. LOL! He could also mean that he’s a ‘plant’ by the commies. I LOVE how Rush always keeps them guessing. He knows how to play the sycophants in the MSM.
Jake surprised me when he drew that great analogy, but not even he could have hoped Axe would tromp on his own member so fast. If you let a liar or a thief talk long enough, they will tell you everything they are trying to hide.
This is like Clinton telling Jim Lehrer, in response to a question about Monica Lewinsky, “There is no affair”, and Lehrer letting it go at that.
Except this is worse. Clinton, the better liar, crafted his statement on the word “is” and its present tense meaning. The Tapper transcript as I read it says Axelrod spilled the beans.
