Two top Republicans lit into President Obama and the Democratic Party Sunday over accusations that the GOP strategists and the Chamber of Commerce were using foreign contributions to influence the election, calling the claim a "baseless lie" and accusing the president of "abuse of power."
Karl Rove, a Fox News contributor, said on "Fox News Sunday" that the president had gone too far.
"Have these people no shame? Does the president of the United States have such little regard for the office that he holds that he goes out there and makes these kind of baseless charges against his political enemies?" Rove said. "This is just beyond the pale. How dare the president do this."
Rove was referring to a series of charges that have been leveled over the past week. Obama first said at a rally in Maryland Thursday that the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, which he referred to without mentioning by name, was paying for ads against Democrats while taking money from "foreign corporations."
"So groups that receive foreign money are spending huge sums to influence American elections, and they won't tell you where the money for their ads come from," Obama said. Then Obama twice mentioned Rove by name at an Illinois rally, saying "two groups funded and advised by Karl Rove have outspent the Democratic Party 2 to1 in an attempt to beat" Democratic Senate nominee Alexi Giannoulias.

His actions are one of a foreigner, and this cannot be tolerated.
Sue him. Libel is not presidential protected speech.
I caught this segment. Rove did a great job responding to this charge.
Does anyone remember the financial statements from the 2008 election cycle? Reviewing the records for the Emperor and dimocrats you will see many many donations that included both dollars and cents. How many people make donations, via checks, etc, in dollars and cents? Whole dollars, yes; dollars and cents?
IMHO such transactions are the mark of foreign money activity since international exchange rates are very seldom even amounts. When you travel overseas hotels and other round off the exchange rates, normally downwards, to obtain a little extra profit.
As usual, the dimmys accuse others of the very things they, themselves do.
True notice how the democrats avoid the issues about Obamacare and jobs they play the same tired old game of blame, dodge, double talk.
Indeed.
1. Quit referring to the bastard squatter as president.
2. Stop defending yourself and start attacking the accusers as the known liars, communists and sabateurs that they are. Laugh and say this is rich coming from them...pot meet kettle.
3. Turn the tables and demand the dnc and the bastard squatter prove where his foreign campaign contributions came from. Take a "You show us yours - We'll show you ours" approach.
4. Quickly use their own words and actions against them in campaign ads and plaster the market with them.
5. Quit playing by the insipid "gentleman's rules" against known enemies of the state who blatantly lie, steal and coerce.
Asked about the charge, White House senior adviser David Axelrod put the onus on groups like the Chamber of Commerce to prove foreign money is not influencing the election.
YOU first a$$-wipe! What unmitigated gall!
An excellent point. Furthermore, it is well known that Obama accepted over $100 million in untraceable foreign contributions for his presidential campaign. His campaign said they couldn't be identified because the individual amounts were too small and it would be impossible to account for them all.
Shrug. So that's okay then...

George Soros uses foreign money!
Obama os all upset because Americans are contributing money to toss him and his fellow Chi-town thugs out of Washington. Yet the MSM makes no mention of all the money bam gets from the marxist unions, Move-On etc.
...well, yes!
clinton and kerry took money from the daughter of a Chinese general and from known Chinese spies...but NOW dems are worried about foreign money?
GOD I HATE THIS GUY (yes, I'm shouting).
I think they should call the president out on this. He has accused certain entities of criminal activity and Rove should ask for charges to be filed.
This will not happen but should.
Libel is a distraction. If the president truly believes what he charges or has evidence he has a duty and an obligation to act.
Yeah never mind all the cr*p they passed in the last two years, it’s still all the Republicans fault.
