I’m gonna take the minority view on this (and probably get clobbered) but—

I like Paladino but I don’t see where his comment gets our side anything. Plus, he creates a straw man issue that, later on, can be used against other conservative candidates by the lamers in the lamestrem media. Such as:

“Mrs. Palin, do you agree with Carl Paladino that homosexuals are blah balh blah?”

The fact is, it is the province of pyschologists to determine what is dysfunctional behavior. Even if I agree with Paladino’s opinion of gays, politicians need to stick with public policy matters, especially while they are running for office and even more so while governing. The dysfunction Paladino should be focused on is the insane taxing and spending that goes on in Albany.

I live in NY state and twice the creeps have tried to pass homosexual marriage. Without voter input. One man, one woman has passed in 38 states INCLUDING California. Good for Paladino! Now we know where he stands!

“The fact is, it is the province of pyschologists to determine what is dysfunctional behavior.”

I do not think gays should be persecuted in any way shape or form.

But the bottom line is, homosexual behavior is NOT the ‘system’ operating as designed, shall we say.

Sorry in this case, cold hard facts determine what is “dysfunctional”— as relates to the perpetuation of the species, not politically correct analysis paralysis psychobabble.

LOL. Do you know that psychologists have been seriously debating "normalizing" pedophile behavior?

Bottom line: if someone tells you that it's "normal" to jam your penis into someone's anus, don't believe them.

Well, the problem is that psychotherapists became dysfunctional in 1973 or whenever they took same-sex attraction out of the diagnostic manual and did so on purely political, not clinical, basis. Even those psychos who agreed with the decision admitted it was done purely on politics. One of them wrote a book about how the decsion was made.

So, while at one time it might have been reasonable to leave it to the psychos to decide what is dysfunctional, now that the psychos are mostly dysfunctional, I’d say it’s the province of normal folks like you and me to decide.

And yes, same-sex attraction is dysfunctional. It just is. You can put honey on a turd and it’s a honey-coated turd. I’m not a connoisseur of turds, but I’d say, just off the top of my head, that a honey-coated one is dysfunctional. A regular turd is not dysfunctional.

I would call it the spineless view, the unprincipled view, or the RINO view...

Thank God it is the minority view...

I think people are sick and tired of unprincipled spineless double talking politicians...

I'm sure the psychologists would love to arrogate such power to themselves, but I don't have to go along with the charade.

If the psychologists say that homosexual buggery is "A-OK", then the psychologists are WRONG.

He has focused on the insane taxing and spending that goes on in Albany. This time, he was speaking to a group of Hasidic Jews. They vote according to their common beliefs and they vote in large groups. From the comments I have read on the Yeshiva World News website, they like Paladino both for his desire to take a baseball bat to the state's corruption and his frank statements about issues such as gay marriage.

I admire Paladino for his guts and gusto. It's refreshing and bold. It is, IMO, what the people really want from their leaders rather than the PC baloney that has kept us in chains for too long. New York is not just the cesspool called Manhattan, so he may just have a chance to win the governorship.

It IS a public policy position: as Governor, would he sign a homosexual “marriage” bill into law?

The answer is HELL NO!

I agree with your post.

Paladino is a loose cannon...his anger is dysfunctional..that telling the reporter “I can take you out.”...

I just don’t respect his thugishness..You can be tough, principled and assertive without acting like a teenager.

and yes, why go there when the issues that could get him elected are the economy and Obamacare...

the province of pyschologists to determine what is dysfunctional behavior.

By your logic, it is the sole province of accountants and economists to comment on taxing and spending.

Public policy embraces everything.

No, they don’t really have a clue on this issue.

To correct you, the fact is that God decides what is normal and what isn’t, and HE clearly states that homosexuality is a deprivation.

Your point that a psychologist determines this can be very subjective, depending on the point of view of said psychologist.

God’s Word trumps what any man believes, if its contrary to the Scriptures.

I think you’re right. Statism is the mortal threat to the republic - homosexuality is simply one of the vehicles the left uses to advance it. That is not to say that homosexuality isn’t a threat to the most basic and successful social construct of humanity - marriage and the family, but in attacking the symptom (homosexuality) instead of the problem (marxism), you leave yourself exposed to the left’s hyenas in the press and weaken your position in the bigger fight.
