WESTBURY, N.Y. Police say a man carrying a hunting knife crept up behind an 8-year-old boy playing a video game in a New York restaurant and plunged a 4-inch blade into his back five times.
Police say Evan Sachs picked the boy out at random and stabbed him five times in the back Friday night at a Dave and Buster's in Westbury on Long Island.

Merrick is an upscale town. Of course, everything has been upended lately but you used to have to have a few dollars to live in Merrick.

My only boy is eight. I would have killed this SOB. Right there and then. If I was pulled off, I would wait for him to get out. Then I would kill him. There isn’t a doubt in my mind.

The 23-year-old Merrick man has also been placed on suicide watch. Give the guy some privacy. And some rope and a chair. And some how-to books and pictures.

He will still spend eternity in hell even if he repents. The difference is without repenting, he will spend eternity in hell with Pelousi and Reid!

The photo's still there when I checked. Here's a link just to the
image. Geraldo's era "Willowbrook" would be too considerate a reward for this one.

I don't know how such a small child survives being stabbed five times.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
A four inch blade, quick emergency response, and no ateries cut.
If it was a 6 inch blade, the boy would likely be dead.
Prayers up for the bairn!

Eeek! That dude’s got “Sling Blade” written all over him!

The boys father and a bystander grabbed the suspect and held him. The father got control over him and hes still alive? I know if it were my 10 year old boy, the perp would fall repeatedly on his knife and likely bleed to death before he was arrested. What the hell is wrong with people?

You still do. I'm grew up in Merrick, have lots of family there.
Taxes are staggering. Some family members are paying close to $16K a year in property taxes.

From what I’m picking up in the local papers the man lived with his parents and has a job as an usher in a multiplex. He was on various medications that had recently been readjusted.
More and more I seem to hear this scenario about people acting out after having their medications changed.

I lived a very long time in Merrick. I used to love walking through treelined streets on an October night.
It is quite a liberal town, I am sure you are aware. The residents never saw a tax they didn’t vote in. “For the children”.
