Democrat Mark Dayton and Republican Tom Emmer are still in a virtual tie in Minnesotas gubernatorial contest.
The latest Rasmussen Reports statewide telephone survey of Likely Voters shows Dayton picking up 40% of the vote, while Emmer draws support from 38%. Independence Party candidate Tom Horner remains a distant third with 15%. One percent (1%) prefer a different candidate, and five percent (5%) are still undecided. This race remains a Toss-Up in the Rasmussen Reports Election 2010 Gubernatorial Scorecard.

Dayton vs. Emmer is one of the most unpredictable races of the year. Anything can happen.
Mark Dayton... Any relative of the Dayton-Hudson Corporation families?
In a normal year, this would have been a shoe-in for Dayton. But this isn’t a normal year.
Al Franken to the rescue with a trunk full of votes, kinda like Santa Clause but Santa is funnier
He’s the heir to a department store fortune.
Once again a third party/independent candidate in the race can squash a Republican outcome. Most likely in CO, possible in AK, less likely in FL.
Ahhhh... I worked at the MPLS downtown Daytons when I was a student at the U of M.
Only in Minnysoder would a dimwit like dayton have a snow chance in hell.
0bama is coming in to campaign for Dayton on Oct 23 - hopefully, that will be the kiss of death for him as it was for Coakley, et al previously.
