dalereed,
I’ll ask you the same question I asked someone else;
How do you see a solution when so much of the legally required paperwork has been destroyed or mucked-up to the point where multiple parties can show claim? Wherein banks have already been caught falsifying documents and perjuring themselves to cover up that fact? And even when or if they can produce the required legal documents in most cases the liens and transfers were never legally recorded and are now beyond the required time to do so. I ask you do you advocate the falsifying of and then then the illegal post dating of legal records?

Agreed. Let us just hope they don’t take the whole country down to hell with them. Right now, Vegas oddsmakers are sitting on their hands ;-)

The mortgages have been bundled and sold and resold, bundles have been sold piece meal most of the transfers were never legal recorded. So even those paying off their mortgages could end up with a house they can not sell borrow against, your house that you paid for could be open to a claim by almost anyone. I was reading it the same way. If you are being foreclosed on by the bank where you got your mortgage, ask them to prove they own the house. Even if it is a mortgage servicing company, make them prove they own the house. I can't imagine there is a legal means to prove ownership.

When I worked at Ameriquest for a brief stint in 2001, fraud and forgery were rampant, which is why I left. Our twenty-something manager thought that the movie Boiler Room was a training film.

holy smokes! I just read the transcript of the depo of the assignment review person. Talk about rubber stamp! no fact checking, no error checking, just a “is this MERS so sign it” check!
This is not error this is criminal!
The judges who allowed this should resign IMMEDIATLY.

Reliable source tells me FBI Agents were at The Law Offices of David J. Stern several days ago with warrants. Don’t believe me? Just wait.

When mortgages got bundled into financial instruments the bundlers stripped out the paper documents and replaced them with electronic copies.
Guess what? Most states require the original paper documents to foreclose.
Oooooops.
The industry’s response? Hire outside companies to “generate” the “original” documents and file these falsified and post dated documents with each county recorder’s office.
Ooooops.
They got caught.

..........................................Nevertheless, what can I do to actually verify that the bank I'm paying my mortgage to actually owns the mortgage, or if it does, how do I find out who does? And what do I do if nobody can get me that information without having Skippy in the mailroom photoshop the documentation? > Please let me know if you find the answer to this.
