If Muslims don’t have to buy into Obamacare because “it offends their religion.....

QUESTION: If Muslims don’t have to buy into Obamacare because “it offends their religion”, then why doesn’t someone start a new “religion” that ALSO prohibits buying into Obamacare?

This just occurred to me today, when reading something over at Hot Air about the Michigan judge who ruled Obamacare was perfectly constitutional today (don’t worry…it’s not…and it will be struck down in the Supreme Court on a 5-4 vote in 2011).

What does it take to start a legitimate, state-recognized, actual religion in this country?

Because I’ve read repeatedly that the Amish and Muslims don’t have to buy into Obamacare, don’t have to pay any penalties, and don’t have to have anything taken out of their checks for this monstrosity because “it offends their religions”. Muslims claim insurance is a form of gambling, and it offends Allah (mass murder, not so much with the offending of Allah, but MetLife, oh the humanity!).

If this is true, and the terror network militaristic cult that is Islam allows its rabid followers out of Obamacare, then what would the government be able to do if a mysterious, new, passionate religion emerged when someone out there amongst us discovered a magic book under a tree or in a brook…and written on those sparkling pages the very first commandment was “Thou Shalt Not Purchase Health Insurance and Thine Earthly Government May Not Penalize You For Not Having Insurance”?

If Muslims, the Amish, and others have “religious objections” to Obamacare, then why can’t ALL OF US have religious objections to Obamacare?

Any lawyers out there, please chime in on this.

Because if this idea could work, what do I have to lose…sign me up as pope of whatever crazy thing we have to invent to make this happen.

I am never going to buy health insurance because it works out more economically for me, as a single gay dude with no dependents, to just pay medical bills in cash whenever I need medical treatment. I am not going to pay any government penalties for not having insurance and instead fully intend to claim I have a religious obligation to submitting myself to Obamacare.

Freedom will be my religion.

And if the government tries to make me do this against my religious conviction, then it needs to make Muslims buy into Obamacare too.

Since we all know nothing on Earth is allowed to upset those misunderstood murderous CAIR Bears of Islam, it looks to me like this could be a fun and creative way of taking down Obamacare in the end…even if the SCOTUS somehow lets us down (which it can’t, because if Obamacare is legal then that means the government would have the right to order you to do all sorts of things, like to exercise, to eat what the government tells you to eat, and to generally make you slave property of the state…and that brings us into The Second American Revolution phase of Obamacare Resistance….which, Hell, sign me up for that too).

ObamaCare is the first Jizya or Islamic tax on non-muslims in the USA. Muslims are exempt but they get the benefits. By definition it is a Jizya.

Keep watching TV dhiminis. Islam needs useful idiots who watch TV.

One of my good friends started the Alabama Amish Society. I asked him if we had to wear those funny looking hats and he said no.

These groups would not buy insurance before Obama came along.

Much like in the military during Vietnam when someone decided they wanted be a Jehovah witness after they were drafted. They didn’t get any special treatment. Those who were before they were drafted could at time work in a non-combat roll.

The Church of Limited Government is now accepting applications for pastors ($30 fee). ///sarcasm

That’s better than paying a $75 license fee to work in California fast food.

lol

Hmmm, I detect a bit of backstabbing with the One’s centerpiece bill. If Muslims and Amish do not participate in O-care, thereby starving it of their tax dollars via mandates, and they profess to take care of their own in cash no less, are they not placing the stake in the heart of O-care??? Where are the Blondes with Green Eyes who can take care of their mamas??

No need to start a new religion. The Amish already fall under the Christian umbrella. I’m sure that we can find Biblical passages that we can use to opt out of Obamacare.

I will rely on passages in the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence.

No need for new religion.

Most religions forbid the taking of human life. Abortion is the taking of human life (under cruel and unisual punishment). DeathCare authorizes abortions. Therefore, if you practice a religion that forbids abortion, you MUST be exempt.

You’ll need them both. O (and the Dems, well, even the Pubbies) is ignoring and editing the Declaration, the Constitution, and the Bible doesn’t apply either.

Interesting times.

I think Lutherans used to say insurance was a form of gambling also, hence the establishment of such entities as Aid Association for Lutherans and Lutheran Brotherhood, now combined under the name Thrivent.

Hey. Are you the same preacher me and my buddy Dennis sent $20.00 to back in 1973?

If so, thanks. Our Ordination Papers as Reverends arrived intact.

'series'. they're legal as all get out all we had to do was register with the county as Ordained Rev's. We never did as that would be like committing blasphemy. But I have mine framed and sometimes I hang it on my wall :-)

There are several Christian “insurance” programs out there,
one that I’ve heard advertised is “Medi-share”.

They claim to meet the requirements to allow you to not be subject to the federal mandate.

Personally, though, I’d rather the mandate be slapped down as the unconstitutional overreach that it is.
