Biden riles the crowd: 'Youre the dullest audience Ive ever spoken to' By Jordan Fabian - 10/07/10 02:48 PM ET
Vice President Joe Biden got a laugh from his audience at a Wisconsin fundraising event Thursday when he tried to rile the crowd about the economic collapse of 2008.
We want to reward people who manufacture things in the United States, in Wisconsin, not to take them overseas to China and to other countries! he said to a silent room at the event for Democratic gubernatorial nominee Tom Barrett, according to a White House pool report.
He continued, saying Youre the dullest audience Ive ever spoken to," at which point he got applause and laughs. "Do you realize how many jobs Wisconsin lost? Its staggering!"
Biden and President Obama have made frequent campaign stops in recent weeks in an attempt to jolt Democrats who are lagging Republicans in voter enthusiasm measures, in part due to the slowing pace of the economic recovery under the administration's watch.
Biden's appearance Thursdsay was in the Wisconsin's state capital Madison, which hosted a crowd of 26,000 to see President Obama speak at rally targeted at young voters the week before.
The vice president has argued at previous that Democrats have begun to reverse the momentum that had them sliding to large losses on Election Day. He has also taken several pointed shots at the GOP, jokingly saying this week that he would "strangle" Republicans who talk about the deficit.
On Thursday, he took a jab at the House GOP's "Pledge to America," governing agenda.
The pledge half baked
folks, weve been in that oven before," he said. "This pledge is a threat to America."

I would still take Biden over the muslim in a heartbeat,
Slow Joe is always good for a laugh.
He's nothing if not consistent. Straying from the script now would really send Dim voters into a panic.
The only shoe company that I can think that might still be here is Mason Shoes of Wisconsin. Their website seems to indicate that they are still in Wisconsin:
Bert and his father August Mason, started the company back in 1904 in a small logging town in northern Wisconsin called Chippewa Falls. Over a hundred years later, the company is still located in Chippewa Falls and is still owned and run by the Mason family.
You say that like it’s unexpected or something.

I never took him seriously. Just thought he was a fool. The whole thug thing really did take me by surprise.
Good point lol
I thought the stimulus legislation was suppose to fix that problem, Joe. Or was the failure of it Bush's fault, too?
I was trying to make a joke. I see I failed utterly. When you said "Hes a criminal and a lying psycopath that just happened to end up in politics." I was humourously asking why one one would be surprised that a lying psychopath would end up in politics when it's almost a redundant description. ;-)
Yes, I understood. : )
I just really was surprised at who I’ve seen him to be. Not a bumbling fool but a thug. He fools his enemies by appearing to be a fool.
He'd probably incinerate Paraguay thinking he was pushing the button to call for coffee.
"What? This button isn't the one for coffee?"
Oh, OK. Yeah, he’s definitely a thug. We’ve seen the real Joe ever since they turned him loose on the country in ‘08.
The threat to America is the administration that this fool is a part of.
