Public schools can have dress codes and that includes peircings. Just like a workplace.

The ACLU is run by commie retards.

"My understanding is that it's based on modification of the body to unite one's mind, body and soul, and they believe a display of their modification is appropriate,"

THAT explains the bolt in the Frankenstein monster's neck!

No better way for a 14 yr old schoolgirl to attract an adolescent schoolboy than with a shiny new tongue piercing/stud.

She doesn’t have to attend that school. She has every right to transfer to a public or private school that will cater to her or she can homeschool.

The school forced her to get piercings and that's why she's suing?

If she doesn't want to obey the school dress code, then she should either find another school, or just plainly quit school. It's obvious education is not on her mind.

Where are the parents? they need to be investigated for allowing a 14 year old to get piercings.

What ever happened to the sane, real world? I feel we're living in TV world... I'm waiting for the commercial.

You got that right. The boys know why tongues are pierced.

Later in life, she will have a huge, honking scar pit on her nose from having the peircing. The channel doesn’t always heal shut. Its like the kids w/the gauges in their earlobes. Sorry son, you don’t want that there when you are forty (and they have to be repaired w/plastic surgery).

The ‘ray of hope’ here is there’s a school with some appearance standards.

When my niece first started gauging her earlobes, I told her she should go to medical school. I explained that she would be able to make a ton of money someday as a cosmetic surgeon when people her age grow up and realize that gaping holes in the nose and ears don’t go over well in the professional world.

Unfortunately, she didn’t listen. :-(
