In something of a surprise, the New England Patriots have traded All-Pro wide receiver Randy Moss to the Minnesota Vikings for a third round draft pick next year, according to FoxSports.com.

you sure he still can throw deep?
I haven’t been following Moss or the Pats. Is Moss an attitude case or has he lost his skill set?
IOW, what motivated NE to trade him for a single future draft pick?
Yes actually Randy Moss is an attitude case really when he was in Minnesota he had that incident with the lady traffic cop and dope but I guess at least he wasn’t in prison for abusing animals. Many of them are attitude cases but it is what it is.
he just needs to make sure the guy he’s throwing it to is wearing the correct color jersey...
“Something of a surprise??” Bet I can name ONE quarterback who ain’t exactly happy.
I wonder if Revis will suit up for that game.
Actually, if you mean Brady, I think that he is likely very happy. Did you see the sidelines negative dynamics between him and the malcontent on Monday night? The Pats need Moss like the rest of us need a malignant tumor.
you said he wasn’t playing well
I thought Cincinnati was the dumping ground for malcontent wide receivers.
The local news says he will I’m in Western Wisc. actually but I get the twin cities news and they say he will be in practice tomorrow and playing Monday night. I doubt that much has changed since he was with the Vikings anyway.
Anything to keep Brett happy, and there were rumbling after he tried to get Moss to GB, he got pissed off that GB brass didnt do it. Believe me, Favre wasnt that motivated to play for the last 3 games, and this time he’ll be given more fuel to throw. Good times.
They haven’t resigned him, this is the final year of his contract and apparently they didn’t want him for next year, so they traded him for something rather than just letting him go for free. Not really sure it’s that great an idea, their offense really isn’t clicking, and now without the Moss deep threat there’s no reason for teams not to double cover Welker.
When Moss first came to NE, about three games in he was bitching to Brady on the sideline. Brady went ballistic and got in his ear lecturing him about the Patriot Way.
No problems after that.
But now, Moss is unhappy in his last year and wanted a multi ear deal...that is why he is expendable. An unhappy Moss would be destructive to the Pats...good riddance.
In Minn. he may play well if SuperRetiree Brett can get it to him.
New England won 3 Super Bowls w/o Moss and lost 1 with him. As long as Brady stays healthy the Patriots will find a way to not miss Moss.
Yeah..they did the same thing with Seymour but it was to leave sufficient money to deal with Brady and Wilfork..
Typical Bellichick move. Pats behind the Jets in the standings. Jets play MN on Manday night. Moss already burned Revis deep in an earlier game and he figures Moss can do it again with Favre especially with Revis coming back with a hamstring injury. The bet here is that Favre better get extra padding for his butt because he’s going to spend a lot of time on it come Monday night.
