Maddow Trots Out Disgruntled Delaware Reporter to Rip Christine O’Donnell
Newsbusters ^ | October 6, 2010 | Jeff Poor

Take MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow live on location from Newark, Del., the site of a hotly contested U.S. Senate race. Mix that with the local beat reporter of the state’s largest newspaper that openly admitted her role model is Helen Thomas. The result: Unfavorable coverage for the conservative Republican in said race.

On the Oct. 6 broadcast of MSNBC’s “The Rachel Maddow Show,’ host Rachel Maddow wanted to give her viewers a taste of the local Delaware media, since U.S. Senate Republican nominee Christine O’Donnell had announced she would go with a more local media strategy in her upcoming contest with the state’s Democratic nominee, Chris Coons. Appearing on her show were Ron Williams, a political columnist and reporter Ginger Gibson, both of the Wilmington News-Journal.

Williams has made his view clear on O’Donnell over the past few months with his columns. Even in his most recent column he cast aspersions on O’Donnell, but that’s what columnists do. But his colleague at the News-Journal, Gibson lamented her inability to have access to the O’Donnell campaign.

“Rachel Maddow wanted to give her viewers ...”

She probably has more staff than viewers!

Fortunately, NO ONE watches this channel or this show. She’s an ugly MAN-BEAST! A mutant!

RE :”Observers have noted Gibson’s repeated run-ins with the O’Donnell campaign and her willingness to criticize the Republican nominee time and time again. She has been labeled as a “liberal hit piece writer” and has been advised to find a hobby to distract her from her obsession over the Tea Party. Still, Gibson complained to Maddow that O’Donnell has been too busy to talk to her.

I typically watch Maddow and this week she is giving Democrats advice on how to attack Tea party Republicans.

What was funny about last night's show is how Maddow made a big deal about O’ Donnell refusing to go on her show or give her an interview. Why would any Republican (running for office) in their right mind go on her show? (Naive Rand Paul learned his lesson the hard way.) Look Rachael, Obama doesn't go on MSNBC either because you have very few viewers, he's been on FNC more than MSNBC. Just ask Ed Schultz.

Oldest MSM trick in the book, getting the local commielib reporter to represent the “local opinion” of a certain issue. Anytime the MSM wanted a “Texan perspective” down here, they’d go interview Molly Ivins. Molly had the cornpone routine down well but her views were anything but typical of most Texans.

There’s somebody like that in every hamlet that the media can quickly run to in order to reinforce their prejudices and con you into thinking the locals there feel the same way.

"I'm Christine O,Donnell.
I'm not going to Washington on a broom.
I'm going to Washington with a broom,
And I'm going to cleeeean house!"

Thanks, Moseley!

The result: Unfavorable coverage for the conservative Republican in said race.

Of course the leftists have only old, failed policies to recycle while they get rich. All they have in their playbook is to attack the character of opponents, engage in name calling, and magnify trivialities.

The brazen hypocrisy of the lying liberals is amazing to see. They refuse to address the substance of the Christine’s messages to help the people of Delaware because they are losing their jobs, their homes and their entire hard-earned way of life because of the Socialist/Marxist philosophy (including the Culture of Death) and destructive policies forced down the throats of an unwilling populace by Democrats and the current Administration.

Instead, the enemies of life want to lie and focus on minor aspects of a clearly intelligent and competent candidate for Senate. She would be a breath of fresh in the suffocating stench of a Democrat controlled Senate.

They will do anything to avoid talking about real issues because the proven failed polices (kill, tax & spend) of the Democrats are not supported by most voters.

You wouldn’t expect “him” to trot out an O’Donnell supporter, would you? Mr. Maddow (or is it Madcow?) is unfair and unbalanced...

I don’t understand why the media is going after O’Donnell in such a rabid way. Maybe they think they can “bring down” the entire Tea Party if they can bring her down, but the importance they seem to be placing on her is way out of proportion (IMO).

I still wonder if it’s just the “Palin syndrome” — young, pretty, very conservative, well put-together, popular woman brings out this weird, over-the-top hatred. Maybe it’s just dormant Jr. High school envy.

Maddow should spend less time bashing Republicans and more time trying to determine which sex she wants to be.

>>Why was she there? I thought Coons was like 53 points ahead????<<

Isn’t it interesting that they spend so much air time on someone who they say can’t possibly win anyway? I’m thinking they know that O’Donnell is much more of a threat then we are led to believe.

Need to pull out their rate card ($25.00 for 30 seconds (grin)) and charge them for illegal campaign contributions.

Anybody else see Madcow get stomped by that Republican candidate she tried to smear tonight? I loved it, especially when she kept denying sarcastic even as she was sneering at him.
