This question was not enough. We need to know whether they would repeal 0bamacare.

(Even more bizarre when formerly single-issue neo-confederate poster Shucksmaster appears to have swapped screen names with a pro-evolution poster keen on debunking the creationist threads.)
It’s true, you vote for Combiner puppet Kirk, you have no brain. Conservatives don’t let other Conservatives vote for sociopathic Socialist frauds like Mark Kirk.
There is great virtue in stopping the radical agenda of RATS. Kirk will not be valuable in his votes on issues but as long as he remains Republican, he will be extremely valuable toward a majority.
This is dealing in reality. I don't like it, you don't like it but it is the hand we have been dealt. Now, stop the RATS!!!
Also remember that if it weren’t for those 3000 “third party” voters in MN, we wouldn’t have Obamacare right now. It’s hard but the right thing to do is suck it up, hold your nose and go in the voting booth and vote straight Republican.
Sweetie, he IS the rat. Read this: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2573067/posts?page=35#35
People need to understand this race is a total farce.
The Senate race in MN was stolen, pure and simple. “Finding” ballots long after the fact and leftist judges refusing to count legit GOP ballots were the deciding factor. Add one more, the race in AK stolen by trumped up charges against Stevens by rodent hacks in the Justice Dept. (one of whom just committed suicide), and similar false charges made against Conrad Burns in MT for 2006... just the tip of the iceberg.
Totally agreed but if those 3000 “third party” voter had not voted the way they did, it would have also saved the day. Wouldn’t you be glad to have Coleman right now instead of Franken? Coleman was also considered a RINO. I’d be thrilled to have him instead of Franken.
I thank you for the attempt to educate me and I totally understand the corruption in IL. Perhaps you are correct in assuming all these scenarios will come to be but what if Giannoulias is never convicted of anything?
Coleman wasn’t one of my favorites, but unlike Kirk, he wasn’t a pathological liar, consistent vote for left-wing positions, and a tool of a profoundly corrupt political machine. There were 2 people in this cycle I was clearly opposing whether they were general election candidates or not (well, 3, but I’m choosing to ignore that one), and #1 was Kirk (I’ve opposed him for a long time) and #2 was Mike Castle. The single reason I opposed both is that both were seeking to enter the Senate for the express purpose of undermining the Tea Party movement, stymie the Conservative agenda and ultimately, after inflicting their damage, switch parties. We took out Castle, but since Kirk faced no real primary (as my link explained), he’ll have to be beaten in the general.
To answer your question, what happens if Alexi isn’t convicted, well, #1, he’s already a liberal Democrat not masquerading as a Republican (hence, he won’t be a trojan horse as Kirk would be), #2, even if he survives an ugly trial, it’s going to still damage his and the Dems reputation (adding to their culture of corruption), but from what I understand, there’s enough with his banking practices that should send him up the river.
With Kirk, he’ll just delight in stabbing us in the back, providing the Dems with bipartisan cover for the Socialist agenda, a close relationship with the Emper-er, President, and ultimately will be a Jeffords/Chafee/Specter type. At a time where every vote is crucial, this guy could blackmail the entire caucus, and we don’t need that. Better the crook than Kirk.
BTW, just as an aside, the IL Dems know how corrupt Alexi is, and ordinarily, they could merely force him off the ballot with a looming trial, but there’s a reason they don’t... they’ve got Kirk as the fallback (and I’m sure a lot of Dems privately want him to win). If Kirk were a Conservative like the Gubernatorial nominee (for whom Kirk has distanced himself from and is actively trying to undermine... so much for party unity !), the Dems would’ve yanked Alexi out of the race by the short and curlies and installed a viable, less tainted Democrat on the ballot. It’s what they did in New Jersey with the Torricelli/Lautenberg switcheroo when a centrist Republican led in the polls. Just one of those things that makes you go “hmmm...” As I said in another thread, with a race like Kirk vs. Alexi, whomever wins, the people lose (and the corrupt Combine wins).
