Yeah,it happens!!
I’m watching this Islam debate on ABC—this is pretty good. Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Gary Bauer, and a few others are really taking the fight to the Islam supporters. Of course, you do have to put up with Amanpour...
After dad was so ill I needed a break from a lot of things and computer at home being one of them and just needed to relax and have mainly watched sport on TV but am finally getting the bug back to get back to my friend on line so hopefully this will be the first week back regularly. Evenings I am fairly tired after work and assisting dad especially if he wants to stay up after the evening carers have been in as it then falls to be to assist him into bed etc. So I will probably be around more at weekend’s during the day.
Chilling out but the bug to get back is starting to come back so at least at weekends I think you will see a lot more of me.
Yep, that’s what happened. The voting public is mostly ignorant of what really happened because the media/press and Democrats remain in denial as they keep trying to spin it away from themselves.
I don’t just blame Democrats, either. Too many Republicans in congress signed on to the theory of buying votes back home and did not stand up for conservative principles.
Thank you I really feel humble the great welcome I am being given today
I’m so glad you and Dad are well. Do know that we all missed you and were worried by your absence. We prayed for you and Dad!
He heard! Blessed to hear the good news!
News to me! And I always thought that responses that were addressed to me were about my comment! Oh well, maybe I’ve ventured into another realm...
The former will be up to President Palin to do but the latter is already happening.
Just try and get a loan or even get refinanced anywhere!! Its the impossible dream.
Zero made Fannie and Freddy part of the govt. so he could sink the nation just a little bit quicker since they are a time bomb loaded with worthless paper that has to be paid somewhere down the road.
It's the same concept of giving the Bush Tax cuts to only those who don't produce jobs where it is just another expense to toe govt.Just print more money.
Any time you add more expense to govt. it helps sink capitalism and induce socialism/marxism a little bit quicker, incrementally.
It's what these a-hollls are all about.
What is the general feeling about BP are us Brits name mud over it ?
I missed the islam debate (conflicts with FOX timing). Thanks for the update. Gary Bauer is a pretty competent debater. What was Franklin Graham’s input, in general?
I may post one tonight LOL
another realm...

If a response doesn’t make sense, just try to read it as a generic rather than personal comment, and see if it makes sense that way.
Sometimes waiting for a response never happens, and I usually just write what I think at that moment
Again Jesus said, Simon son of John, do you truly LOVE me? He answered, Yes, Lord, you know that I LOVE you. Jesus said, Take care of my sheep. John 21:16
Carl Lewis was one of the greatest track athletes in Olympic histoir. In 1984 at the Los Angeles Olympics he was challenging the Great Jesse Owens as the most Gold Medaled athlete in the sprints and long jump. Jesse Owens in the 1936 Olympics won 4 Gold in the same events Lewis was competing. After winning the 100 meters Carl lined up to attempt break the 20 yr old long jump world record and exceed 30 feet at sea level for the first time in history making him the Greatest Track Olympian ever.
Carl Lewis had been a track phenom since he was a child. At 16 he owned the junior Olympic records and often raced or jumped against men. He owned all the junior world records as a child and from the minute he began running in college broke American record after record. Like Owens he was an unusual combination of speed and leaping ability to dominate the long jump. His entire life was focused on one event and that was the LA Olympics and trained 24/7/365 to become the Olympic hero of America when there was a great rivalry between US and the USSR.
On a perfect summer evening in LA at the start of the long jump runway Carl Lewis was at the absolute peak of his physical and mental being. His entire training cycle and career was at a pinnacle coming together in this one brief moment to tie Jesse Owens incredible feat and become a hero of America. He sprinted down the runway and soared over near 29 feet and it looked like the WR was his. His second leap was over 30 but he scratched on takeoff and the entire stadium was going nuts in anticipation. Then it happened, he was over a foot beyond the next best jumper so he skipped his next 4 attempts winning the Gold but not breaking the record or even attempting it. The entire Country was shocked and angered he didnt attempt beating the record, this is not what Americans do.
When quizzed why he skipped he said he had more gold to win which he needed to save his body and would break the long jump WR at a later event. He never ever broke the record and rather than being the undisputed greatest track star in history he is one of the greatest although most would say Jesse Owens was the greatest since he did it in the Hitler Games and won all of his in 1 day. Lewis may have thought he could repeat his performance but he never did since he never was able to peak his body to the level he was at that week. Like Carl Lewis and his once in a lifetime opportunity this election may be a moment in history that never comes again.
We have an enthused and united Tea Party movement which began randomly. Every person in the movement as well as every candidate need to give everything they have to win their election. They need to make sure they dont pass any of their chances but give everything on every attempt. Every person in the campaign as well as the Tea Party has to give their all to make sure these candidates win their elections. The last thing you want to do is to say you will make it happen in the next election since you dont know if this lightening will ever be put back in the bottle.
There are times in life that come only once and this is it. Difference is this is once in a Countrys lifetime as she has finally understood what a great system this was. We also understand how easy it would be to lose this experiment in human freedom. We have been the only Country in mankind which has allowed its people to rule themselves completely and now understand we may be within eyesight of losing all of that. We are freedom lovers and we have an opportunity to make a huge statement that we value freedom as much as we value life itself. This is what America is and we may have one last chance to make that statement so make sure as an American to not skip your jump and miss the one chance in your lifetime.
You know every day of Carl Lewis life he wishes he would have taken another jump that day and perhaps broke that record to become an American hero. We have a chance to change our Country from enslaved to pure freedom. Make sure you dont have to look back weeks, months or years from this November and wished you would have taken one more jump.
Pray for America
Hi Snugs,
I was just thinking and wondering about you a week or 2 ago. So happy to hear you and your Dad are doing well. I just started posting on this thread again recently (surely did miss it).
I always enjoyed your posts and hearing both your point of view of things going on here in the US as well as your updates on what’s happening on the other side of the ‘pond’.
Best,
SC
Heh, I may have to try that myself...but I’m afraid that the responses would overwhelm me... Okay, at least I sort of understand now...carry on...
That $700 billion is over 10 years, not the implied shorter period of time.
1. The money does not belong to congress, it belongs to the person making it. Does Wallace believe otherwise?
2. Tax cuts pay for themselves by increasing activity, which results in more revenue to the fed. Since tax revenue is down now, what makes Wallace believe taxing more will help?
3. Is Wallace so ignorant of economics and how things work?
