Thank you for pairing the rally photos. They show on a grand scale the epic failure of the left today.
His profile claims that he is a “Senior News Editor” with his website listed as the Huffington Post. The picture was taken just after noon EDT.
Thanks
Ah thank you Minus, I see that according to the data you posted (here’s your link again http://www.flickr.com/photos/njpitney/5045134373/meta/) the picture was taken at 12:04PM EDT. I am having a bit of trouble finding the schedule to determine peak attendance.
This blogger posted “15 Photos you won’t see in the legacy media” which mainly focused on large banners promoting socialism and pics of books for sale running the socialist/Marxist gamut: http://directorblue.blogspot.com/2010/10/15-photos-from-onenation-rally-youll.html
Oh I see that the OneNation organizers claim, on their ‘org’ page that 175 thousand people attended - more than they ever dreamed!
The Lincoln memorial is a fecal matter.
The Lincoln memorial is a fecal matter.
“Starting at 10 a.m. a series of feeder marches kick off from various locations across the city, all culminating at the Lincoln Memorial by noon.”
According to that excerpt taken from organizer’s pages, it looks like marchers and attendees were to gather at noon to start a 4 hour block of speeches/speakers. If they succeeded in assembling on time, then that picture taken at 12:04pm EDT may be a peak photo. It’s possible many skipped the march and wandered in late for the speeches (by many I mean hundreds)
Here’s the scheduled events for the rally as listed on the org webpage (http://www.onenationworkingtogether.org/news/entry/media-advisory):

The program is divided into three segments organized around jobs, public education and justice and moderated by television and radio personalities including Ed Schultz and radio talk show host Tom Joyner. The program opens with a reading of the One Nation Working Together Call to Action by a group of real Americans. Each of the three segments includes remarks by pairs of individuals from different communities and industries reflecting how all have put individual agendas aside to come together on common ground.
Examples of the planned speaking pairs are:
Bob King, president of the UAW, with Phaedra Ellis-Lamkins, president of Green for All
Deepak Bhargarva of Center for Community Change with Colin Whited, a Galludet University student
Rev. Al Sharpton with Lindsay McCluskey of the U.S. Students Association.
One Nation Working Together is a rapidly growing movement of everyday people across America people of all backgrounds, hues and faiths who have come together to reclaim our country: to reclaim it from those who evade the peoples priorities instead of investing in them. We are committed to Putting America Back to Work and Pulling America back together.
Attending the One Nation Working Together march are 7 citizen journalist bloggers who drove across the country from Los Angeles to Washington, D.C. in a One Nation Working Together Blog Mobile covering stories of people who are struggling with issues of jobs, justice or public education.
Starting at 10 a.m. a series of feeder marches kick off from various locations across the city, all culminating at the Lincoln Memorial by noon.
For more information on the march and to get updates on the speakers visit: text ONE to 62227 or tweet: @OneNationTeam #DC10210.
It is a scream, isn’t it? Some FReepers have said it the Martin Luther King photo, aside from the fact that it is black and white photography - they peg the date and attendance levels on MLK because of the existence of the buildings to the left which have been gone many many years. But, since MSM did not show overheads, this MLK rally or whatever dreamy picture that is, will become the photo-of-record turnout for lefties! I know we’ll be seeing that picture alot more - a tribute to their success (at distortion). :) IF they are cornered on it (the MSM won’t tell) then they are going to say they were honoring the tradition he started.
thanks that was interesting.
Did you check out all of Pitney’s photos on Flickr? There is a black and white photo of a couple of SEIU types carrying some BS sign. Below their big whiney sign is another little sign that says, “Bus #087”. LOL!!! Good stuff!
Wonder how much in union dues was spent to bus all of these communists to D.C.?
Ed ‘Hate Pig’ Shultz, bragged he could easily get a crowd of over 300,000..Could barely manage over 30,000...and that’s being generous and with a benefit of a doubt!
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
After carefully examining these two photos, I have come to the conclusion that left is aware of the true value of their political platform. — Why else would they require ~4x+ as many toilets than was required for the Glenn Beck rally?
I wonder how many copies of the Constitution they went through?
Look at all that trash on the ground in the second picture!!!
