Love the post. Some moron on the DU says today’s rally had twice as many as Beck’s. How many bong hits did it take to come to that conclusion?
I knew it had to be bad. Thanks for the pics.
He needed to strengthen those bong hits with some LSD first!;)
This is the only shot from that angle I have seen all day.
And we want to make sure we're not comparing apples and oranges, i.e., make sure both shots are of each event's peak crowd.
I waded into the murk and slime of Democratic Underground today and some of their posts complained because there were no overhead shots of today’s rally on television - only close up or stairwell photos. The posters felt that this represented....wait for it......bias! Yup - they believed or claimed to believe that MSM did not show overhead shots like those shown during the Beck rally because the MSM were anti-left wing and didn’t want to give the left credit!
Oh I thought it was delightful - because the MSM get the hatred of the left for protecting the left from the embarrassment of overhead shots showing more litter than people at today’s One Nation rally. OOOhhh and there was lots of self praise for the ‘diversity’ of today’s rally. LOTS of DIVERSITY.
Astroturf must be expensive!
with link to this article.
I was thinking the same thing. Can you provide more information bear? Thanks
But that still doesn’t tell who TOOK the photo, the photogapher, the news agency, etc. How did they get access to the Washington Monument, if that’s where it was taken from? Etc. We don’t want to be passing along what might turn out to be a bogus image.
There were (oh by the way, I am a FAN) pics on Huffington Post today that were generally flattering but following a link off of HUFFPO to look at photos posted by supporters who attended the rally led to this link where I first saw the photo above:
It’s the last in the gallery display and remains on screen after completion of the slide show. There’s no time stamp. The most ‘flattering pic’ of the rally (still shown in reduced size at Huffpo as I write this) is taken from the podium side of the reflection pool and does not show flanking grass areas - just people lining the water
Nico Pitney. He works as a Photographer for the Huffington Post.
The Lincoln memorial is at the west end of the reflecting pond, which is aligned E-W. Looking at the shadows, I’m guessing that the photo was taken in the very early afternoon. Any other guestimates?
Thanx! Will pursue it tomorrow. Now to bed.
