I couldn’t agree more with that sentiment.
What bothers me is that we have been trying to starve the RNC for years. Why? Because as often as not it uses our funds to defeat Conservatives. You need look no farther than Arizona and Delaware to see evidence of it. Look, when I say this I’m actually referencing the RINOs in the party that come out and support other RINOs. I’m also referencing what happens when a person who voices support for Conservative principles does happen to win a nomination. The RNC that is supposed to push through our nominees, will eviscerate the Conservatives and throw their full support behind RINOs.
So we try to starve the RNC, and a person who claims to be one with us makes a big push to raise funds for it.
We withdraw support from an agency that will not push our agenda, and are defeated by someone who claims to support our agenda.
This isn’t how you change the party leadership. You go on the record of disagreeing with the party leadership. You don’t slap them on the back and help fund them.
Have you folks seen evidence that Palin disagrees with the RNC? Have you seen her saying it needs to change? Have you seen her asking the leadership to stand down in favor of Republicans who support our policies and could do a better job? I haven’t.
This seems like one more instance where Palin is gifted with the blessings of “good intentions” when there is zero evidence to back that up. It’s the granting to someone you like, of always accepting that they are doing the right thing. These days I don’t grant that blanket amnesty to anyone, not Sarah Palin or anyone else.
