Rush & Levin sure hold Palin in VERY high esteem!

Oh, man, that's funny. I am sure glad that Rush and Levin don't make up MY mind for me.

You’ll have to go back 2 years, but you’ll find I was an early supporter of Fred Thompson, prior to him getting into the race, all the way up until after he dropped out. It was a frustrating experience, to say the least. I was very vocal in my support. My view that Romney would have beaten 0bama is based on my observations, not my emotions or preferences. Romney is a finance guy and Was unflappable in the debates. That would have inspired a lot more confidence post-collapse than the frenetic and unstable McCain, who boasted about he didn’t know anything about economics. 0bama won by default. It’s hard not to draw this conclusion when you analyze it dispassionately. Though I understand that is outside the scope of Palin supporters.

Governor Palin will need to establish a relationship, and a strong one with the RNC if she’s going to have a major future within the GOP. She’s building bridges, not scorching Earth here.

Two of the most trusted conservative voices out there. Makes me wonder who you listen to.

Why, gosh. I listen to Schultz, Olbermann, Schiefer, et al. Isn't that who I am supposed to listen to?

In case you didn't notice that was sarcasm. I DO listen to them but I like to think that, while they inform and comment on the news, I am capable of making up my mind independently of what they say.

Who makes up your mind for you?

From your lips to God’s ears! I hope and pray that Sarah will replace Snoop Dog Mike come January — and that she will then fire everyone at the RNC from the janitor up!

Steele, chairman, mystery?

No mystery. Steele’s still chairman for the same reason Obama’s president.

Ms. Geraldine Ferraro, the former congresswoman and (token female) vice-presidential candidate knows tokens: “If Obama was a white man, he would not be in this position. And if he was a woman of any color, he would not be in this position. He happens to be very lucky to be who he is. And the country is caught up in the concept.”

Steele can use all the help he can get. WHy he’s still chairman is a mystery.

I'll say - with all the republicans who have gotten defeated in special elections and the polls showing the dems poised to enlarge their control of both houses of Congress, how does the man keep his job? With all the talk of a republican bloodbath in November, Harry Reid and Barbara Boxer cruising to easy victories, the predictions of almost universal reelection of all Democratic incumbents - how does he keep his job? Oh, wait a minute ... /s

Washington was a federalist—believed in a strong central government to reign in the passions of the hoi polloi.

Washington was non partisan. He was, however, a full throated supporter of the constitution.

"And Steele has helped how?

By ensuring Republicans have enough of a war chest to wage effective campaigns, overcome the huge advantages Domcrat incumbents have, and the organization in place to make sure the Republican vote turns out.

What all you "Steele slammers" can never come to grips with is that Steele is a low-key guy who works behind the scenes in quiet ways to be sure things are done that produce results. He's not a charasmatic guy and he is, usually, smart enough to stay in the background, doing his job (which is to elect republicans) and not calling attention to himself. You don't want to give the man a bit of credit for positioning the party for an historic takeover of Congress (though, granted, there is plenty of credit to go around - I'm not suggesting he did it by himself) - but boy, you'd be out in droves blaming him if the republicans were trailing in the polls.

Steele has made numerous headlines, all negative, “by staying in the background”? Where have you been?
