CNN released this statement today:
“Rick Sanchez is no longer with the company. We thank Rick for his years of service and we wish him well.“
They will broadcast CNN Newsroom from 3-5pm for the foreseeable future.
Here’s more from the story earlier today: CNN’s Rick Sanchez is not happy with being made fun of constantly on The Daily Show and Colbert Report. It is from this jumping off point that he absolutely unleashed on Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert, and at times his own network, on Pete Dominick’s satellite radio show yesterday.
The big takeaway – Sanchez calls Stewart “a bigot,” then walks it back a bit, and he implies CNN is run by Jews.
I said before, CNN is on a fast train to the Right....They see what is ahead and firing RS is only the beginning. Last week they fired the boss over there, now RS. Wonder who will be next, and even more interesting wonder who will be the replacements.
Well is it? And what's wrong with it being run by Jews?...or is Sanchez a complete moron like Stewart and Colbert?
I suspect Keith to be under orders to be highly medicated the evening of Nov.2. For once, am going to set my DVR on MSNBC for the entire evening. Not going to miss even a moment of the delicious schadenfreude.
Just this morning Jerry Rivers tried to tell Steve Doocy that Obama was a centrist.
What a joke.
If I ever watched the daily show this might mean something to me.
Sometimes...there is a little bit of justice in this world.

Someone’s probably noted this but this year on Jan 22 he remarked at the big crowd in DC and had to be told it was the annual March for Life. He actually said he didn’t know there was such a thing.

I’m surprised. When I have seen Rick Sanchez, I always thought his approach might be more appealing to many viewers than 24/7 Wolf Blitzer. I haven’t heard the antisemitic tirade if that’s what it was.

When you lie as a Journalist to advance a cause you become propagandist. This is unacceptable now. Period. Too much is at stake. Even the brass at CNN know it.

Don’t worry. I’m sure MSDNC or PBS or somebody else will sign him shortly. Or he’ll work in the Obama Administration. These people are nothing if not well-connected whores.
