Jurors in Michigan have rejected the concept of a "dhimmi" status for Christians, ruling that four evangelists who went to an Arab festival not just to be present but to "change minds" did not commit a breach of peace as police had claimed.
The word comes from the Thomas More Law Center, which defended the four Christians after they were charged for being at an Arab festival June 18 in Dearborn, Mich.
The verdict came from a jury of six Dearborn residents late Friday, who concluded that Nabeel Qureshi, Paul Rezkalla, Negeen Mayel and David Wood were not guilty of breach-of-peace charges.
The issue strikes directly at the heart of what many fear is developing across the nation: Muslims given special treatment that subjects those of other faiths to second-class status.

Excellent. Rights not exercised are lost.
Now file suit against the police for violating your civil rights, if you haven't already.
Until Islam is totally discredited and Muslims forced to acknowledge the West will not be part of Sharia-dom, there can be no peace with them.
“Now file suit against the police for violating your civil rights, if you haven’t already.”
Yep.
Hooray!
I heard Jay Sekulow speak some years ago....
He called that phenomenon... "RIGHTS ROT"
**************
NOW...
A federal civil-rights suit should move forward for violation/deprivation of their constitutional rights under the cover of law...
If we don't make this very painfully /prohibitively expensive....
The powers-that-wannabe in local settings...
...Will never stop making these hostile intimidations and frivolous arrests-- contintuing to whittle away at these very same rights.
I am not litigious...
Just sayin'....
I Was born and raised in Dearborn and when I visit my Mother who still lives in West Dearborn I leave my 380 at home and take the 45. Rushbo had it right when he called Dearborn Little Falujah.
WTH is wrong with these police?
Because Islam advocates the murder of infidels, their religious exemption status should be removed.
Speaking of Sekulow, it’s funny the ACLJ tends to be described as the anti-ACLU, but they’ve actually been on the same side for several cases. Where the ACLU is concerned, it really matters whether or not the state chapter is run by rabid anti-Christians, or just people interested in our rights.
We moved from Dearborn three years ago when my husband retired from Ford. No one believes me when I try to tell them how bad it is there.
With respect to freedom, it doesn’t matter that they were cleared. When you can be arrested for nothing and must argue simplicities (i+1=2) in a courtroom (or be jailed or killed if you refuse)then your freedom is gone.
Actually, Islam should be treated as an alien and enemy political philosophy - not a religion.
You CAN be an American and practise Hinduism, Buddhism, Zoroastrianism, Wiccan, nothing or whatever, and still be a patritoic American. There is no political imperative in any religion.
ISLAM is different. Islam separates the world between the area controlled by Muslims and the area controlled by non-Muslims, it considers that a state of war exists between them, it enjoins its followers to impose Islam on the rest of the world by any means neccessary, and - most significantly, requires that a theocratic dictatorship, based on Islamic scripture, and known as Sharia, be imposed on Muslims and non-Muslims alike.
Islam is more of a threat to the west than Communism or Fascism ever was. Islam IS Fascism - wrapped up in a Theocratic Cape.
Dar al Islam or Dar al Hab. One cannot be in neither or both.

Amen!
To other FReepers:
Islam will be at war with the non-Islamic world until the whole world follows Sharia law.Watch this: "Three Things About Islam." 8:10 long. Very educational.
For a full understanding of how Sharia is affecting the US, download (177 pages) and read this: "Shariah, The Threat To America, An Exercise in Competitive Analysis".
These educational tools will change your thought processes about Muslims forever.
That is correct.
I’m sure if they went to east Dearborn they would believe.
