I first encountered narrow toilet paper in Europe in the late ‘80’s. It’s true that your butt may not know the difference BUT your fingers will!
Well they took my coffee to smaller packaging..and raised the price...either way it’s all going to keep going up.
Pretty slick.
I’ve noticed this “downsizing” for the past year....
Dial Soap really pi$$ed me off. They hollowed out the back of the bar so it doesn’t sit well in my hands any more. Then they took out the easy-open tab on the package so you have to tear the paper to little shreds to get it open now. They totally ruined a 40 year (or more) success as far as I’m concerned. I see this all over.
I bookmarked this because what’s worse is a wife who won’t believe you when you say the TP is smaller. She got all huffy and said I’m going senile. The same happened when they downsized coffee cans.
Reminds me of the price control era back in the ‘70s. The McDonald’s Filet-o-Fish used to have a real slice of American cheese. The post-price-control version had a “slice” so thin you could see the texture of the bread through it — or else it was just painted on.
My son noticed a year ago that cereal boxes were getting smaller.
I think the tubes have gotten wider on my brand, Charmin Heavy Duty. They offer a 6 pak with smaller rolls for $5. They have a 4 pak with larger rolls that last longer, for $3 something. I get the 4 pak. But why the different size rolls?
This has to make Sheryl Crow happy — although it increases my desire not to shake hands with her.
Did you forget to notice “Now Stronger!” I like that.
I’ve noticed this as well. Less product, same price. Backwoods cigars just went from 8 stogies a pack to 5 stogies a pack. Same price.
have you seen how small Reese's cups are?...
and of course all your soaps..the laundry soaps..the dish soap...they come in smaller containers than before....
one thing I am trying to do is get off of paper napkins and paper towels...
