Humorist Garrison Keillor says Republican Rep. Michele Bachmann is embarrassing to Minnesota. Keillor made the comment about the tea party favorite in a fundraising appeal for Bachmann's Democratic rival, state Sen. Tarryl Clark.
The "Prairie Home Companion" host says, "it's embarrassing to me and a great many Minnesotans" that Bachmann represents the state in Washington. He accuses her of "grandstanding and giving interviews on Fox News" instead of representing her constituents. Keillor promises that Clark will never embarrass Minnesota.
Keillor is a frequent donor to Democratic candidates and causes.
Federal donor records show he has given Clark $4,800 since last year. He also gave to Patty Wetterling, one of Bachmann's
Garrison Keillor earlier Democratic challengers.

Isn’t that the truth? The Lake Woebegon thing grew tiresome after one episode. He was such a downer that most listeners wanted to commit suicide.

But a wrestle-mania guy and a dump for a comedian were NOT embarrassments?

Keillor's statement is the verbal equivalent of peeing his pants in public...HONESTLY?! Minnesota elects the clown Franken for Senator and then Keillor points to Bachmann as an embarrassment? What a moron. MN has at least 2 embarrassments...Franken and Keillor.

Embarrassing as in “one of the few people elected to public office there who isn’t a raving loony.”

Lake Woebegon It is pretty hilarious that a liberal would be pining over a society built by our Founding Fathers and free market capitalism.

Humorist Garrison Keillor says Republican Rep. Michele Bachmann is embarrassing to Minnesota. And Al Franken, Paul Wellstone, Walter Mondale, Hubert Humphrey and Jesse Ventura are to be revered as honorable statesmen, right Garrison?

Geillor, the no talent loser, should row out to the middle of Lake Woogobogongee, tie a cinder block to his leg and jump overboard.

By the looks of Keillor’s upper lip in that photo, it looks like he recently burned himself with hot joint.

Did he have his piano? Isnt he the singing liberal on PBS??? That would be Mark Russell, who is actually funny at times, unlike the "droll" humor (read, funny only to the cognoscenti) of Keillor.
