“exercise her discretion”
So now we live in a society in which we are subject to the whims of political appointees. My country of birth doesn’t really exist anymore.

Hallmark of fascism. Winners and losers chosen according to political whim.

My country of birth doesnt really exist anymore. You must be young. Mine vanished many decades ago.

Exactly....what in the hell did the the congress people THINK they were DOING to all of us when they voted for that monster monstrosity designed to bring American medicine, the BEST IN THE WORLD, to its knees. Forcing it to surrender all independence to a government run by people, BAD PEOPLE, like sibilious (sp) and her minions. It is sick.
Sarah was right. First there are the money handlers like sibilious and then there are the death panels. Just look at England for a perfect example of the medical hell where traitors in our congress are laying upon us....it is so wrong.

Yup. Couldn't agree more. The story isn't so much about McDonald's, it's that we now live in a nation run by criminals where "the law" is basically a worthless notion, being enforced or otherwise in an arbitrary and capricious manner by political goons.

McDonald's gets an exemption from this onerous law at the merest whim of an administrator, and other companies are forced to comply?
It's outrageous. It's disgusting.
The behavior is certainly typical of the Democrats, but the scale and the brazenness of this instance is breathtaking.
Chicago-style politics at a national level is a national disgrace.

Exactly - and if you like this discretion wait till you see how this regime provides “Equal Opportunity” access to Health care.
Don’t doubt if the death panels check your party affiliation, before deciding if your child deserves treatment.
These are the most loathsome people on the planet!
