I wouldn't think, not being a foreign nation, state, or tribe, that what I do could be regulated by the FedGov under that clause.

I have had a ‘low flow’ toilet for years. I hate it. It is not just about having to flush a lot and clogging. It gets dirty more often and I need to clean it more often. To clean a toilet you need to flush, then use a chemical cleaner, then flush again. So more chemicals into the water supply. I am willing to bet that the lazy politicians who came up with the low flow toilet never touched a toilet brush in their life.
CFLs totally suck. I’ll never have one my property.
Lots of research $$ are being invested in LED technology. Eventually LEDs will replace CFLs. Can’t happen soon enough for me. LEDs cost very little to operate and last for years and years.
Or, better yet, mandate both. That way, we can reduce the oversupply of housing units.

I still have two old clunky big flush toilets, they work fine, even with my big .... Woosh, clean, no problem (won't trade them in anytime soon). Flush for no. 1 is perhaps a little bit overdone, but that could be handled with a sensible fix - a half-flush mechanism, but no! The elite, frenchie, know-it-alls figure 1.6 gallons is sufficient for whatever comes out of one's body, plus the cleaning paper.
Who is to inform these fecal-heads? They likely have diarrhea mostly, (too much fine wine), their toilets work ok for them, not needed for big ...., just thinking.
I say, let us not have any wine glass larger than 3 ounces - then these elite scum would be constantly occupied with mournful requests to "please refill my glass", instead of thinking up more torments for us general folk.
