Sarah Palin obtained a protective order Monday against an 18-year-old Pennsylvania man who sent her receipts from a gun purchase, along with a letter saying “he tried to follow the Bible but had evil and wickedness in him.”
Palin, 46, filed the request in Anchorage District Court against Shawn R. Christy, a man she says began stalking her by e-mail and phone since the summer of 2009. Palin’s friend, Kristan Cole, 48, filed for and received a similar protective order against Christy.
The 20-day protective orders Anchorage Magistrate Colleen Ray signed Monday prohibit Christy from following, approaching, confronting, watching or otherwise staking or threatening to stalk or assault Palin or Cole.
The protective orders say Christy has been stalking the families since 2009.
Cole said she became concerned about Christy’s letters and e-mails for months, but it ended up in court yesterday after the man called her to say his plane had landed in Alaska.
“When someone sends you proof that they’ve purchased weapons. Proof that they know where you live. And said that they are looking into purchasing a one-way plane ticket to Alaska and then calls from a cell phone with a 907 number, it’s over the line and we need protecting.”
Cole said the Wasilla Police called him back at that phone number and spoke

I don’t see where a court order will protect someone from a maniac determined to do them harm. I hope that Sarah Palin is packing heat...for that will be the only way she can protect herself. Delusional maniacs don’t give one iota about court orders....Lord willing, Sarah is well protected.

Not only does she have it in spades, I’m sure she will be carrying now as well. The good thing is that she really knows how to use it as well.

If, God forbid, a stalker hurt Sarah, the MSM would have it on SNL. Barely able to restrain their glee, they’d blame Sarah. Hideous.
Can’t they find and arrest this guy? All concerned should have a pix of this guy.
No she needs a posse. No innocent person should have to live their lives worrying about their family or themselves. This guy needs to take a dirt nap.
I heard a long time ago that she packs, so if anyone tries to harm her or any member of her family she will take em out.
If Obama received a receipt from a gun purchase from someone; the Secret Service, FBI, State Police, local police etc would have raided the guy's house and work place, etc. and would have arrested him by now. But Sarah Palin only gets a "protective order." This is a death threat from the 18-year-old kook that we're talking about here.

Not much about him from facebook. Nothing posted since Aug 21. He’s unemployed, apparently lost his job at Hazelton Oil. He was applying for a motorcycle license. He tried to “poke” Cole’s real estate facebook site. He’s a lousy speller. Not much there. Can’t see who his friends are. That is all for now.....

The protective order won’t keep the creep from her door. It WILL put the fact that he is stalking her on the record.
If she has to resort to self protection, it will not be a surprise.
