Just damn...
It made Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian famous.
I don't think he would have killed himself had he been with a young woman?
Just speculation.
"Roommate asked for the room till midnight," he tweeted on Sept. 19. "I went into Molly's room and turned on my webcam. I saw him making out with a dude. Yay."
If this was over the boy's being homosexual, I dread the hate bs crime that will be attached.
Days before the shocking suicide, Ravi posted to his Twitter account, tweeting that his roommate Clementi had asked for some privacy.
“Roommate asked for the room till midnight,” he tweeted on Sept. 19. “I went into Molly’s room and turned on my webcam. I saw him making out with a dude. Yay.”
Ravi is an idiot. Can’t imagine the pain of what the family is going through with this information along with his death. I hope Ravi gets what he deserves... just sad.
Wiretapping
The only thing that may prevent this is that the guy who was taped with his boyfriend was white, while the tapers were an Indian man and an Asian woman.
He committed suicide presumably because he did not want his family to know about his proclivities.
As I guessed, it wasn’t *hetro* sex.
But I have to say, for decades the Left has been pushing for normalization of homosexuality. TV, movies, music -- homosexuals are everywhere! They are loved! They are accepted! They are rich! Schools have bully programs aimed mostly at protecting young homosexuals. We are told not to use the "hateful" phrase "that's so gay". It's just a great big lovefest for these people.
And, with all of that, this man felt such excruciating shame upon being outed that he ended up killing himself.
Perhaps he understood that his lifestyle was an abomination.
I don’t know, it seems his reaction was a little extreme. Certainly these 2 committed a crime and should be punished, but they should not be held responsible for someone else’s extreme reaction that couldn’t be reasonably foreseen.
They aren’t responsible for his death.
“The young man killed himself. I hope these two get charged with involuntary manslaughter. They should never be allowed on any U.S. campus or be allowed to enroll in any U.S. university.”
Regardless of what the legal system does with these two students, they have created their own hell for themselves.
It will torture their insides for the rest of their days, and only get worse as they mature.
It’s not unusual for FReepers not to read the article; just the excerpt.
But it does seem unusual for the one who POSTED the article not to have read it.

This was an idiotic thing to do, but I disagree with those calling for homicide charges. If Hotlips Houlihan had killed herself after the radio-mic prank in the film M*A*S*H, no one would consider Radar a murderer.
Anyway, prayers for the young man and his family.
Frat house prank gone wrong. Sad. For the kid to kill himself over something like this is off the charts. Most normal 18-year-olds just laugh it off or boast of their prowess. Must have been in a pretty emotionally fragile state to start with. Can’t see the kids getting more than probation, if they’re first-time offenders.

1. It is wrong to have secret cameras on anyone. Invasion of privacy is wrong.
2. The idiots who filmed him are not guilty of manslaughter. Plenty of people film others having sex or doing other private acts and this young man's suicide is not their responsibility, legally or morally. Although what they did was indeed disgusting and there are most likely some statutes against it. And they should be prosectuted for whatever illegal acts were involved, but NOT manslaughter.
3. Homosexuals know, deep in their hearts, that their acts are wrong, unnatural, unhealthy, and an offense to God. Thus the guilt.
4. It's a miserable story and everyone involved has done wrong.
Well, if you believe historic anecdotes, it’s probably a good thing they didn’t have web cams in Eton College or Harrow in England or we’d find out that most of English history’s noted figures could have been black(er)maled..
oops, mailed....
What a sad story. Prayers for the family and friends of the deceased.
