NEW JERSEY (WPIX) — A freshman at Rutgers University is believed to have committed suicide after he was secretly taped by two other students during a sexual encounter, police said. The video was allegedly broadcast on the internet.

I bet some of the most hateful things said here are being said by people who go to church and call themselves Christian. Well, if you want to be happy or feel self-righteous over some college kid’s suicide, have at it. We know what this kid was, but now we know what you are, too.
The difference here, as his attorney will undoubtedly argue, is that the room - unlike a phone call intended for one recipient - was a common area and that the roommate knew there was a camera.
You may have no idea your phone is being tapped, but this webcam was plainly visible (I don't know if it was, but the lawyer will likely argue it).

Absolutely not. But they’re in the realm of frat house pranks/hazing. The victim’s reaction was just abnormal. And these are 18-year-olds, not dirty old men lurking in the dark looking to score some thrills for a whack-off session. Suicide and manslaughter are different things.
No, many parents love their children even when their children have mental illnesses, become criminals or otherwise do very wrong things; without loving the crime, mental illness, or wrong choices.

My post was what I would guess Ravi's attorney would argue, based on the fact that an 18 year old college student could be expected to be quite tech savvy and would be able to tell whether or not his roommate's laptop or PC were camera equipped.

On that note it is easy to wonder why the kid wasn't thinking about his parents or family. Had he done so they would not be in the state of lose they are facing. The kid is responsible for their state.
I stopped watching that show even before I became a conservative.... I despised 'Hawkeye' for his nastiness disguised as humor.
The entire incident and all participants in it were wrong doers.
