It turns out smearing your mainstream Republican, Baptist opponent as Talibanesque by altering video of him doesn't play that well in a moderate House district or among Independents.
Thanks to his ridiculous rhetoric and just-released "Taliban Dan" ad, Rep. Alan Grayson is now running seven points behind Republican Dan Webster, according to a Sunshine State Poll. H/t: Hot Air

Well. That worked out nicely.
But the ad played nicely with the MSNBC crowd.
If Grayson were running on the upper west side, he would be celebrated for his creativity with this ad. Sad for him, he’s got to run in a more moderate district.
Grayson can always get a job with the rest of the loons at MSNBC.

Have they pointed out that Grayson was committed to the funny farm in ads yet? That, in conjunction with clips of his ‘Taliban Dan’ campaign lies and generally outrageous behavior, could be a knockout blow.

Wow, this ad is so patently bad, did this campaign really think this sort of thing would do anything BUT illicite a backlash? Wow.. This numbskull approved this message? Unbelievable, how pathetically idiotic and brain dead some members of congress are.
From reading interviews with independents in FL papers, it seems his popularity with them comes entirely from his “partnering” with Ron Paul to “audit the Fed”, and his subsequent grilling videos of Fed officials made him a star with Paulestinians. But in fact, it was Paul’s bill, and Grayson merely co-sponsored it late in the game as a gimmick.
His campaign video was an audition for his new PMSNBC gig, “Grayson and Komrades”, premiering in January.
At least 20% of the electorate are perfectly fine with what Zero is doing....very scary!!
For those in-the-know, is the TEA Party ticket there a fake party like the one we have in Nevada with Scott Ashjian who is running as a shill for Harry Reid?
