For the first time, Republican challenger Ken Buck now captures more than 50% of the vote in his U.S. Senate bid against Democratic incumbent Michael Bennet in Colorado.
The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Voters in Colorado shows Buck with 51% support, while Bennet earns 43% of the vote with leaners included. Two percent (2%) prefer some other candidate, and four percent (4%) remain undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
These findings move the race from a Toss-Up to Leans GOP in the Rasmussen Reports Election 2010 Senate Balance of Power rankings. Two weeks ago, Buck held a 49% to 45% lead when leaners were part of the totals.

Who do you suggest we vote for?
I'll let you decide for yourself. As for me, for the first time in my life, I'm considering not marking that section of the ballot.
Maes is a loser. Tancredo cannot be trusted. Hickenlooper ... feh.
The Colorado GOP has a lot to answer for.
I wouldn’t vote for Tom “Look At Me!!!” Tancredo if you paid me to.
I’m voting Tancredo.
It looks like we’ll have a real liberal Dem. governor.
Few people want to hear this, but in the case of rape, the innocent unborn child hasn’t done anything to deserve death. I can understand why the victim wouldn’t want to give birth, BELIEVE ME, but that’s the truth of the matter.
If you allow abortion in the case of incest, I think you must necessarily be comfortable with aborting any other child who might be born with a defect. Should we also abort in the case of a prenatal Down Syndrome test coming back positive?
Yes, it does. And also a Dem legislature, most likely.
The Colorado GOP has a serious problem with finding good candidates -- Based on who they've put up for various state-wide offices over the past several years, I get the strong feeling they don't really put that much effort into the process.
They need to get their sh*t together.
They need to get their sh*t together.
They sure do. Maybe this mess with Tancredo and Maes will help do that.
BTW: Lots of Ken Buck bumper stickers down here in La Plata County.
Given recent polls in Maine, Collins and Snowe will either have to become more conservative or emulate Jumpin Jim Jeffords. It will be interesting to see which course they choose.
MSM and liberals are so busy taking down O’Donell, that the other Republicans are having a chance to get their message out, perhaps..
I am prolife, 100% of the time. So I have no problem with his position.
Was just pointing out the commercials being run in the state are hitting on that point, very, very hard.
That is what I thought. Thanks for clarifying.
I don’t understand the logical disconnect on this issue. If an unborn baby is a human being worth protecting then why would the circumstances of the conception change that? No one can give you a logical answer. It is all just emotional about how horrible it would be for the mother. They don’t think about how horrible it would be for her to have her child killed in her womb or how horrible it is for the child.
Yeah, it is the emotional issue though that gets people’s ire up. They use it as the reason to justify legalization of all abortion, when the stats would show that is not the reason the majority of abortions are performed. They are performed because women are careless, and don’t want to deal with the consequences of their carelessness.
You know, maybe some day we, as humans, will move forward enough, to cherish the unborn as we cherish ourselves. And who knows, maybe science can help in the dilemma of the mom and unborn child in those tragic cases.
You are doing a VERY good job. I’m proud to know you.
46% approval, -14 on intensity.

Absolutely. He’s closing in on Hickenlooper. Now if we could just get Dan Maes to go away.
I can hold my nose and vote for Buck -- I think he's basically competent, albeit over-prone to speaking without thought to how will come across.
My real concern about him is whether he can make the transition from big political talk, to actual political effectiveness. He's pretty fortunate in his opponent, who's about as exciting as a pair of wet socks.
Does "irrelevant" have a more appropriate meaning than this pathetic RINO?
Thank you. That’s good news.
Another extremist leading. Who would have thought. Arlen is beside himself.
This isn’t a race that concerns me, he’s had this locked up awhile imo. Only unknown is by how large of a margin he wins.
