The former housekeeper for Meg Whitman -- the Republican candidate for Governor of California -- is about to make "controversial and explosive allegations about her former employer," TMZ has learned.

092710_meg_whitman_getty We're told the housekeeper has lawyered up with none other than Gloria Allred. The housekeeper and Allred will hold a news conference today in Gloria's office at 11 AM PT, "to tell how she suffered as a long-time, Latina household employee in Meg Whitman's home.

We're told the housekeeper will be filing a legal claim against Ms. Whitman.

From what we're hearing, the disclosures could have a significant impact on the campaign and possibly the election.

We will, of course, live stream the news conference. It doesn't matter where you live -- Don't miss this one.

Whitman claims the woman had all of the correct forms. I have to ask why she would knowingly pay an illegal, who signed falsified paperwork, $23/hr. The going rate is about $15/hr for someone without papers. :)

Meg Whitman's former housekeeper was an undocumented worker and claims working for the Republican candidate for Governor was a "nightmare."

Nicky Diaz Santillan, Whitman's housekeeper of 9 years, held a news conference with her lawyer, Gloria Allred, and claims Whitman had all the clues she was an undocumented worker but closed her eyes to it because she was cheap help ... $23 an hour.

Allred claims the housekeeper was "exploited, disrespected, humiliated and emotionally and financially abused" by Whitman.

The MSM is the greatest threat there is to our great country, yet we barely address it here. Sure we complain about it but we never come up with a way to destroy or even just neutralize the MSM. Any thoughts?

I've been saying this for years.

Part of the problem is that even we don't marginalize it like it should be. Rush and Sarah Palin definitely call it like it is about the media, and it's very obvious the media is a part of the ruling class, but we still quote them daily and everyone in the public eye reads them still.

Here on FR we are still entrenched in quoting articles from the "reputable" media or else it's a "vanity" or a "blogger," but that is starting to change. After all, Sarah Palin is basically a "blogger" at that point.

Another problem is with Joe Q. Public, the guy that is not politically affiliated, who turns on the news to get his sports scores, weather, or traffic or stocks. How are you going to get through to him that while those are correctly reported, the "news" is not? Or has a VERY STRONG BIAS?

I didn’t make this mess, Whitman did. I tried to warn folks what Whitman was, but nobody would listen.

“Republicans like using illegal aliens, then talk about the need to expel them!”. Whitman could scarcely have found a worse way to undercut those of us who want the illegal alien issue resolved. For all you folks who helper her do this to us, you should be hanging your head in shame.
