The word "contribute" gives them away. This is along the same M.O. as "global warming" or "three card monte". Find a "common enemy", and raise money to combat it.
I hate to be the one to tell them, but it will be like pissing in the Mississippi river and expecting the water level to rise.
Those people at all those TEA party movement events are not there to win "attendance contests", as the left seems to think; they are delivering messages to the politically illiterate on the left and the tone deaf RINO people on the right.

I find it amusing how they keep attacking the tea party as a “vast right-wing conspiracy”. They STILL have not gotten it that the tea party is not Republican operatives, but average citizens, AKA the American public, that are fed up with them! These people are not all Republican, there are independents and old school democrats as well. The people they keep attacking are the very people that live in all that land between the 2 left coasts. Let them keep attacking - it is just giving the people more ammo for November.
