As we have no method of controlling how many paragraphs a user posts in an excerpt, we’ve added debbieschlussel.com to our deny posting copyright list.
Jim:
I allow Free Republic to post a short excerpt of my posts, which means a couple of paragraphs at most with a link to the rest at my site. Today, however, the majority of my copyrighted column appears at FR. Please remove the paragraphs that are posted and limit it to the first two paragraphs of the piece. What is up there now violates my copyright and goes far beyond any “fair use” usage.

Please comply and let me know that you have done so within the next few hours.
Thank you for your immediate cooperation.

Today’s mail from Debbie:
Jim:
Please remove my URL from your deny posting list. As you know, that was not my request. I have never complained about excerpts from my site before. I only asked if you could remove the paragraphs in this one case, because almost my entire column was posted on FR and that—as you know—is not an “excerpt.” Please let me know if you will remove my URL from your “deny posting list.”

She's whining now because she knows she's going to lose hits on her site.
A terrible loss to us all no doubt. I'm traumatized.
More so than normal?
Wow!
