Remember all the media hoopla earlier this year surrounding the birth of the liberal alternative to the Tea Party called the Coffee Party which was founded by former Obama political operative, Annabel Park? Well, despite all the promotion of the Coffee Party by the MSM, it has pretty much fizzled out. The extent of its slide into complete insignificance can be measured by the fact that its national convention in Louisville, KY this past weekend registered almost no media coverage. Perhaps even the MSM was embarrassed by the Coffee Party's current obscurity to the extent that its lasting legacy might well be the performance at their convention of the lamest rap song in history.
What little coverage the supposedly 350 people attending the Coffee Party convention received seems to have been pretty much limited to local media such as the Louisville Courier whose article could do little to hide the essentially navel-gazing aspects of this "movement" moving nowhere:
The Coffee Party USA which was founded on Facebook and is holding its first national convention in Louisville this weekend bills itself as a more thoughtful and reasoned alternative to the tea party.
Saturday night the organization held a panel discussion, part of its three-day Restoring American Democracy convention, that included bloggers, college professors and communications strategists talking about what they can do to make politics more inclusive. They also discussed how to draw more disenfranchised voters back into the democratic process.

Well, I’ve learned that you can stop a movement but if you do for very long you become constipated.
Perhaps a rebranding is in order... they should call it the Air America party.
Is there a GOOD rap song?
I thought they were called Kool-Aid Kids.
what the RATS and the RNC elites fail to understand....their days are OVER...its just a matter of time.
could’ve predicted this one
Quite a few, actually.
Disenfranchised?
Most of those “disenfranchised” voters get to vote several times with no need to give any form of identification. With the exception of those in military service there is no such thing as a “disenfranchised voter”.
I can see the wheels turning at the White House: Ok - Coffee Party - well that didn’t work. Coke Party? Catchy, but no. Party Party? Hmmmm, speaking of which - it’s time I had another vacation.
HA!

a couple. I dont want to rep them though. Some’s tha bomb and some of them are da schnizzle, word.
LOL!!! I’d completely forgotten about them. To the dustbin, along with Airhead America.
Aarti Party?
Might have had better luck if they had called it the “Sex, weed and Tequila Party”, but despite the truth in advertising, it wouldn’t have had the image they were looking for.
Similarly, “Condom Party” would have at least attracted the curious geeks hoping to see skin, but then considering the ugliness of most liberals of the Berkeley ilk, maybe not.
Lessee, “Cappuccino Party”?
Nah....
“Is there a GOOD rap song?”
Only from the Rappin’ Duke!

I’m sure a great many potential coffee partyers were asking if they could have a bong party instead of a coffee party. Cocaine is more appealing to many Dems than caffeine.
The use of the term ‘rap song’ should be banned because rap is not singing!
heh
