Prince of Wales's green initiatives help drive elderly lady into fuel poverty
The Telegraph ^ | 9/27/2010 | James Delingpole

As Richard North notes, the Queen needs to have a sharp word with her eldest son. This year, her gas and electricity bills have been driven so high that she has been forced to apply for help from a government poverty fund.

“The Queen asked ministers for money to heat Buckingham Palace from a fund reserved for low-income families, it has been revealed.

Royal aides pleaded for the cash as they claimed gas and electricity bills had risen by more than 50 per cent in a year – totalling more than £1million.

They complained that the £15million government grant to cover the Queen’s palaces was inadequate and her energy bills had become ‘untenable’.

The money would have come from £60million of energy-saving grants reserved for cash-strapped families, housing associations and hospitals.”

She should disown that pathetic-loser son of hers, who certainly would make a poor successor, and apply his “allowance” to her fuel bill, thus solving two problems at once.

I knew a Jewish Lady, my next door neighbor, who was a young child in Keiv, Russia. She told me of the starvation people suffered. Her Mother would make soap and she would go out to the street to sell the bar of soap, TO BUY A POTATO, so that she, her brother and Mother would have something to eat.

I wonder what British families will resort to for heat,to survive the winter?

I’ve got a solution for them. She can sell a few baubles, like some of that Faberge in the Royal Collection, or perhaps some of those Harry Winston jewels and then cut off that Howdy Doody son of hers and make him get a real job. Since he has no skills, perhaps he could get a job working for his mommie cleaning toilets at all those palaces.

She can’t choose her successor, so unless Charlie renounces the throne, he is next in line.

QE2 is one of the richest women in the world, she can pony up the money for heating her many, many palaces and castles and still have plenty left over for her free loading family with out the citizens of England picking up the tab.

Actually rather a silly article, since the Queen does not own the royal palaces, and P Charles has no influence whatever on energy prices.

Just amazing. The msm in the U.S would NEVER tell the American People the truth about the environmentalwackos and their ignorant (unintended? consequences)ideas.
